Under New Management Part 1 [ Land Claim]

There are good, and bad things to be said for demons. The good things are mostly few and far between though. One that was a mix of the two was stubbornness. Oni didn't back down all that easily, Jack knew that because well. he was one and if he was going to start backing down left right and center when someone challenged his god damned authority then no one was going to get anywhere. One of the things that however had annoyed Jack in his time here. Was that upon returning several times to the underworld. He had been greeted with what? The sight of the Seat of Pride becoming less and less of a place avoided by other demons. More of them were begining to encroch upon his terriroty. So he felt that it was now time to start stamping down that point. Calling in his bitches (ie) The Lords of Fear and Sloth. Jack instructed Jowan and Gerreth to be ready to start posting patrols around the land that Jack was moving in to take. As a feared demonic elder. Jack was well within his rights to order them about like kicked puppies.

So. Order them about he did.

First order of business however was to start clearing this place of the chaff. The seat of Pride as it had once been before Jack had slaughtered his entire clan was a place that was directly avoided by the main demonic populus. However now it was somewhat more of a safe spot. After all a derilct building, what better place would theere be for the weak to hide? Particularly if the owener wasn't at home. The cats away. The mice will play so they said. Jack was still. Slightly weary from the fight with Iskra. However he wasn't so weakened by it that he wasn't able to take out the little bitches that wandered around his land. And he'd do so in a spectacularly violent manner. Just o get his god damned point across about not coming into his land. Then again the patrols would probably keep them from doing that. But even so. This would be a stamped in scarred on fucking statement. Don't. Fuck. With the Lord of Pride. This place was under new management. And that management had expansion plans.

The fear and sloth demons would start their patrols after he gave the word. But that word was only going to be given once he had put this place to route. He felt almost ashamed that it had been his actions that had reduced the fear that those around here felt for the Seat of Pride. It had once been an area to avoid. To avoid. Or be massacred. Jack had been spending too much time away. Too much concern with the outside worldd. Of possible spawn. Helping Iskra was another matter. She was a tool and a powerful one that needed to be kept close to hand. An asset to him if not more. Stepping out of the stone court house, the burned and charred oaken doors behind him. He looked around. There were several demons that he could sense in the area, and he was one to happy with any of them being there. So he was going to have to put them all down. One by one. Transforming whilst still feeling weary probably wasn't a good idea. But still these were small fry. And he doubted that he would need his full powers to defeat any one of them. After all. He wasn't helpless in his current form. Faar the opposite. He was strong in this form. Just not to the extreme level he was in a transformed state.

" Right where are you little bitches".

The first one he locked onto oddly not by tracking it through his senses. But rather by picking it up using his physical abilities. The power of hearing. A few rocks being over turned as something looked at him. As his head wwhipped around to see just what it was, those rocks went tumbling and it went running. " Oh no you fucking don't". Jack outstretched a hand. And the creature began to bleed from its flesh. Its skin turning a deep crimson red as the blood began to flow out of it through Jacks blood curse. It was a powerful technique with a good range on it. The next opponent was one that he picked up on his senses. This one slightly more ballsy than the last. Running up and pouncing. A dog like demon trying to take Jack from the back. But it wasn't to be. Jack snapped his body around. Drawing his cane sword as he did so. And slicing the creature neatly in to with one powerful cut.

The remaining demons within the area wern't much more trouble than those ones had been. Still he had to respect the ballsyness of the dog one. Looking at it for a few more seconds after death than the others. Those he just kinda killed and left it at that. Althought the bodies he didn't just leave lying there. After all doing that would only invite scavangers onto the site, which meant more demons, more paracites. Precisey the opposite of what he waned. Now demons wern't always smart. But one universal langauge that they all spoke was strength. And fear. So Jack got out his sword and started a new hobby. Whittling. That is, whittling down large steaks of wood from the charred trees in the area. And planing the bodies of the demons on the end of them. Impaling them. And placing them around markers on his land. That alone would send a message. And it seemed to. For when the demons of fear arrived on site. They had precisely that in their eyes. Horror. The demons of sloth though were slightly less intimidated by it. Whetheer that was through their own hardiness or just a case of them being too slothful to actually bother showing the fear in their faces he didn't know. Regardless. It was a result that he was happy with. The patrols started. And once again. The seat of Pride was his alone.
