The tournament ended badly. TDK’s plan was interrupted by Prophet but it wasn’t ruined. TDK didn’t really care for Prophet at the moment, but he had bigger fish to fry. He siphoned enough power out of the tournament and the people in Acura that he felt comfortable moving now. He had a big goal in mind and a lot of smaller short term goals. One of the first things he needed to do was re-secure his borders and build a Dark Citadel. But why build something from scratch when you had something you could work with?

TDK chose the three largest structures in the city for his base. These would be the skyscrapers that belonged to the Big 3, who were the top Corporate Entities of the past. The Big 3’s Towers made a triangle with each other. The largest building by 10 stories was the Tokugawa Building. Since it was the tallest, that’d be the main one. TDK had his minions do house cleaning and start to fortify it so that it’d become his Dark Tower. He renamed the Big 3’s Towers to the Obsidian Triumvirate. B/c of the work put into them, they stood out in the city. Each tower had its own mysterious purpose.

Exit that and Enter Penny.

TDK calls Pennywise to the main tower via the sigil on his right hand. The sigil would lead Penny to the Tokugawa Building kind of like GPS. He’d get the hang of it… probably. It’d be easy to find the three towers. Even though they’re about a quarter mile away from each other, there’s a large dark spiral of black clouds over them. Dark minions move around in the shadows to do TDK’s bidding, etc. They’d normally hinder outsiders, but anyone w/the sigil was ok to come in and leave as long as TDK wasn’t all like “attack that man!” One of the shadow minions w/a red bow tie waits for Penny at the edge of TDK’s territory.

So after the meeting with Sparky Penny pretty much just went to sleep. Yeah, lazy shit. Well fuck he had to sleep at some point and it certainly wasn’t when he was going out and walking across deserts and water and all that fun fun stuff. Course it was only a couple hours into his nap and he felt his hand was getting itchy. Like some kinda rash or sexually transmitted disease. Didn’t much bother him though. Well that was until he woke up and found that his body had decided to get up and walk on its own towards some giant ass tower. (He only woke up cause he walked into a pane of glass TDK’s minions were moving across the street).

Considering all this he didn’t think it suspicious at all, rather found it quite useful that his body had somehow developed the ability to move without his mind actually being aware of it and bitching about sore feet. So there was this shadow minion with a weird red bow that kinda stood out from the rest of the lot. He kinda wanted to stay away from those creatures considering the last time they’d interacted they’d molested in into taking off his coat. Still that itch on his hand wasn’t going away. And that one with the red thing looked as if it was waiting for something. ” Yo, I got a feeling your king is looking for me”. He gestured to the mark on his hand. ” He touched me now its itching, I think I need some cream...should probably have washed his hands after leaving his harem and marking people”.

The little black shadow creep answers.

“Yes…”

Well not really yes like in language but like a noise or a sound that humans don't make. Not really like a fart... but maybe just a little bit. Penny'd know what they were saying... probably b/c he's a demon or the power of his right hand translates their words to him (they only really communicate with TDK so they don't need words and ish). After that the onyx creep just kind of stands there and sways kind of in the way a game developer would create movement so that you know that thing in front of you is alive and not a piece of the background screen. After that:

“…”

Awkward silence, waving antenna and the piercing stare of yellow glowing orbs. The bow tie spins, but then stops. Press X.

Ah good so Penny was glad to see that the shadow minion at least agreed with him on the point of the dark kings hygiene habits. Penny itched again wondering just why the creature wasn’t saying much else. Then again he couldn’t remember them saying much when they had restrained him either, maybe these things weren’t really sentient. Just kinda shadow things created by the dark king. Penny remembered a spell that he knew in the old days that did a similar thing. Shadow Familiars. Though it was never on this kind of scale. And they certainly didn’t wear flashy bow ties either.

” You know you would look good with a Fez”

Commented Penny wishing that he had one to add to the demonic ensemble. An that’s when the bow tie started spinning in front of him. It was kinda hypnotic and stuff. Then all of a sudden there was this button on the ground that said “ X”. The bow tie stopped. He lifted his foot, stomped down. Pressing X.

The little black shadow creep tilts its head diagonally 45 degrees to the right.

When he stomps on the X, NPC action is initiated again. What should have happened before happens now >.> A bubble comes over the creeps head, but instead of talking the words, he just makes bubbling, gurgling and “boop boop, noises.” The bubble translates his speech.

“Oh yes, you’re one of the special ones. The Dark King has summoned you. Please follow me and I will lead you to he who is he who summoned thee.”

The little black creep stands there and stares at him again.

“…”

It’s head tilt straightens, he trots around 180 degrees and then walks away from Jack and towards the tallest Dark Tower. It stops in front of the glass entrance of the Tokugawa Tower… erm… Dark Citadel and the door open automatically! Not b/c of electricity or anything, but b/c of three creeps on either side that pull it open.

The creep walks to the elevator and presses the button. Nothing happens, but the creep waits. While he waits he stares at Penny. If Penny didn’t follow him, he’d walk back to Penny and stare at him more.

Good thing to take note of. When TDK minions don’t respond. Press X. Failing the appearance of said X button. Draw x on the ground and hop up and down on it. So the TDK minion spoke in its weird language and then a bubble appeared above its head the speech being translated in writing. Penny was jealous and totally wanted to try that one out. ” When my mother was young she told me she was raped by a banjo”. A bubble would then appear above his head translating this as.

” Ok, lead the way”.

He followed the small minion inside the doors which were being pulled open by another group of minions. Honestly one couldn’t falt the dark king for having some class on this one. He had totally joined the right side, perhaps not the one with the boobs. But that would come in time he was sure. Interestingly enough though they appeared to have a functioning elevator. Likely due to the lack of electricity this would run on some sort of pulley system. The dark kings minion after pressing the button would appear to challenge Penny to a staring contest. One which he was all too glad to play along with

The creep turns around. The elevator doors open. Not b/c of electricity or anything like that, but b/c there are creeps inside it moving it mechanically. Just like Penny guessed, the elevator moved w/a pulley system. Red Bow Tie walks and 180s. The doors close after Penny gets in… if he comes in. A red X appears on the ground. Stomping it starts elevator music (i.e. someone who was captured and forced to sing when pounded on). Not stomping on it… well you hear sniveling and stuff like “please help me.”

Elevator go up.

Well that had to be the longest staring contest in history, though just as he imagined the elevator would be working via manual control. Once again that weird button played on the ground and he stepped on it, and was invited to listen to the wonderful sounds of elevator music. Sung by what sounded like a person being beaten on the top or below the elevator. What a wonderful way to do things, and it saved so much money on electricity. Then again whether or not the Dark King had actually figured out electricity was another matter entirely. ” Listen Mr. Elevator Singer, I have to say that anyone who is inside this elevator at any point in time is unlikely to rescue you unless they have particular use for a singer, even then they would use such a lack luster one such as yourself!”.Indeed you had to take some pride in your own work sometimes. And well this man just showed a total lack of enthusiasm for it at all.

With that Penny would wait till the elevator came to its stop and arrived on the floor with the dark king.

Penny’s words crush the elevator singer’s dreams.

“No one will ever love me…”

His eyes go all placid. His body goes limp. He accepts his fate. There’s no more hope in his life. He is mentally and physically ruined. Instead of complaining, he just sings ‘I’ve got a lovely bunch of coco nuts’ from the Lion King. He sings it in the cord E.

Elevator travels up. It’s hard to really say how many floors b/c there wasn’t any dings or anything like that. The dials didn’t really work either. They just kind of spun around in place. About 45s pass til it reaches the right floor.

The door opens. It’s black at first, then the scene comes in like a TV being turned on. The room shows the inside of a house. It looked like the ppl who lived there were pretty well off. There’s a big comfortable leather lazy boy chair with #1 Dad embroidered on it. It calls out to Penny like it’s really his or something. So the interior of the room conforms to what Penny thinks it should look like, but the kitchen is visible from there. Shiori’s in the kitchen, naked apron style, cooking food. She stops like she hears him coming in.

“Pen? Is that you?”

When the door opened and revealed to just what was someone’s idea of Penny’s heaven. Well he was surprised to say the least, seeing what might well be Shiori making food whilst semi naked in a house wife fashion was quite interesting. Brought him right back to the old days when they used to hang out in his apartment, back when he had his old top hat. Penny removed his current hat and looked at it. Well, times change. He felt a lump in his throat as her voice reached his ears, yeah it was just like he remembered. The Dark king was living up to his promise. Or was he?...

” Oh…its me, but that ain’t the question on my lips……is that really you?”.

It was at this point that the perfect vision became too perfect, and as much as he wanted to believe that it was all his to have at this point in time. He began to think that this was just a vision of the dark king. Telling him what he could have, so he began to separate himself from the emotion of everything. Trying not be to lured in by any of it. His eyes were drawn over to the chair with the words that would make most men crap their pants. Yeah, by the looks of it this might be some kind of vision. No way in hell this was really…well. Real. He and Shiori had only ever really done it once and….

….oh hell no.

“Almost.”

The voice isn’t Shiori’s. It comes all around and echoes around Penny. The television screen setting turns off and fades up into something that looks like the inside of a cathedral mixed with a business office. TDK’s shadow sits on something that looks like a mix between an exec’s chair and a thrown. He’s behind something that looks like it’s mixed between an altar and an office desk.

“That is a vision of what’s to come.”

Red carpet lights up leading the way to a chair that sits in front of the TDK’s shadow.

“Welcome. Come and let’s have a conversation….”

Pause.

“There are some things I need you to do in order to achieve your goal. What information do you already have on the one you seek?”
