Effects: Stun to everything in a 30 foot area.
Desc.: This spell is a rather unusual one. Iskra will often fall to her knees or shout to the sky when performing it, and when the invocation is done, snow and ashes will burst in a small area that will grow extremely cold. While it deals no direct damage, breaths taken in will freeze the lining of the throat, and contact with the ashes, a spiritual substance that contain concentrated sorrow and generally cold emotions, has a deleterious effect on the flow of spiritual energy throughout the body.
Translation Note: The term "Seitse" is peculiar to the lesser animal spirits of the woods who often can't count more than is represented by the digits on both paws. Because of this, they have an imprecise number that means anything from eleven to infinity, but is usually translated as "thousand" or "many".

Desc: Iskra uses a pair of large sickles attached to opposite ends of a very long chain, much like a kusarigama, but with another sickle instead of a weighted end. The center of the chain weapon is usually draped around her neck, and sometimes around her wrists, mostly for symbolic reasons and secondarily for ease of access when fighting. Usually she channels magic to aid her in controlling and boosting the damage of the weapons, especially when in beast form, but she's quite capable of using them without magic as well.

She overcame this challenge by learning to coat the weapon in frost and using her control over that element to manipulate the chains.

no. chain + sickles would be less common than chains or sickles. I’ll add bladed chains to the weaponry list to give them a classification. That way you can use that weapon category for chain sickles once you buy it, etc.

I fixed the grammar a bit. Is that okay? Also, I'd like to know if the ABS damage is in addition to the DMG damage or if it's a part of the damage (i.e. you have to deal at least 15 damage to get the 7.5)

Well, I wanted to combine the ANI effect with the bladed package and use bladed's version of DMG instead of magic's because it's not the magic doing the damage, it's the blades. Is this doable?

So since I need a mode to add duration, if Jack used Pride's Chalice on Iskra, then only the first post would drain HP and bind? Moreover, do all binds need a mode to persist across several turns?

binds last for as long as they're held (unless they have a duration). i.e. if you physically bind someone then as long as you hold onto them, they're bound. same is tru w/magic. so you can go w/o a mode and just have the sta drain each post its held b/c it's an active tech OR you can use the dur on it.

Description: By instantaneously draining the heat from a very small spot on the target, Iskra can damage an opponent.

Well, I was just going to take the mode anyways since ABS is an active effect and I mainly wanted the bind to just hold them still while I used that active effect. Is it alright if I just get it approved with a mode and say that the BD+ lasts as long as the mode effects?

disregard what i said earlier. binds hold until they're broken like normal. abs is the thing that would req. a mode. so it'd just bind how we normally think about bind and the drain would take the first post. if you add the mde then the drain will be continuous based on roll. if you wanna keep it like this tho it's approved

@ soul vert - i dun wanna have 1 bind effect bind multiple things w/this
the way you got it that bind is allowing the forced shape change, blocking channeling and blocking flight.
b/c stopping channeling is handled by stun you might wanna add a STE (stun)
also you may have to make a separate tech that stops ppl from flying
& makin this invisible might be a bit much for what it does
it's gonna be an issue w/ppl about the movement of gas in the tech description especially since it can't be seen. kinda like a beam you should be able to dodge it by side stepping since it doesn't have an AOE effect. w/gas, that dun really translate well. you prolly wanna think about that and how you wanna describe it or how the tech works. it looks like it's make sense if the gas expanded around you instead of shooting out @ full magic speed unless it's like a spit attack or somethin.
like i told phew, we dun have a mechanic for "pain" other than dmg so that wording's like a unofficial effect.
b/c the shp is set to stg 1, then the target will have to be 1 thing and not something from a group of things.
b/c HND is an active tech if it dun have a mode then it'll only be automatically applicable for the first post after the tech.

Well, blocking flight wasn't necessarily important, I just didn't understand how a non-mythological goat would fly or talk/chant and wanted to clarify that, but okay. I'm fine with flying, talking goats if I must have them. Rather, I assumed that blocking chanting and movement were effects of being bound, not necessarily status effects. Well, I looked on the Site Mechanics and it's not really clear on what exactly a bind does or restricts you from doing, so nevermind. It might not be a bind after all, so I'll just attach it to a status effect. Invisibility and pain aren't listed effects, but I have them on other techs so I didn't know that was a big deal either. I didn't think that there was a big difference between turning someone into a goat or a sheep either, most people can't tell the difference between them and that was more to give the other person options. I don't mind the HND not having a mode. I thought about it after a while and the SP requirements were too high. Rather, none of that stuff you stuck on is what I want.

lol! ur just changing their shape to look like a goat. you're not changing their race, only their appearance. if they're a demon that looks like a goat, then they're a yokai (?). but ya, shp shift only changes shape, not race and abilities. it won't turn a demons (spiritual creature) into a normal physical animal just by changing what it looks like.

invisible and pain aren't a big deal yet. pain was only used on malady and it was tied with poison. the invisible tech was with frostbite. right now they're not being spammed but i'm thinkin bout making them effects. the reason is b/c pain is kinda like a non official type of stun. like "a person should react this way if they're in pain > does jug stop pain > wtf, pain isn't even an effect" type deal. right now they're not a big deal to me, i'm just letting you know what i think about it.

you kept AOE

but, the purpose of the bind is to hold the SHP. much like body snatching uses bind. if you keep it like this the person dun have to accept the SHP.

Oh sorry, I forgot to change the phrase to "goat" and you replied by the time I noticed. Your description had uhhh... inclemencies with sentence structure.
Anyways! Is all bind does is stick an effect on another character? Would the fact that it's in the Support package, which I assume is designed mainly to affect other characters, affect that any?
I figured it wouldn't be enough pain to like... cripple someone. It's kind of like how a moderate headache doesn't stop you from, let's say jumping out of the way of a car, but I see what you mean.
I typed that "none of that stuff you stuck on is what I want" before I decided to keep on the AoE, and I kept that on because I decided to remove something else and I needed it to equal 300 SP and it was only 25 or something.
But does this mean that if someone uses a magical bind on me I can still move around and chant?

i could assumed you were supporting someone else instead of hurting them.
someone else could assume support was non offensive.
you use it here as anti-support and utilize hindering.
that part's not important, what is important is that different ppl make different assumptions. since it's not the same universally we use mine.
that means ask shin is always > assuming.

it depends if the bind is not designed to stop you from moving, or stop you from chanting.
if it's a bind that changes their shape, then yes b/c that bind specifies that it binds their ability to keep their own form. if ur a goat, just bah instead of speak, should be the same since chants are specified to be words. (you CAN assume they have to be sounds tho)
if someone uses a magical bind like spirit rope that ties around you then you probably won't be able to move.
if someone binds your mouth or ability to chant, then you probably won't be able to chant.
hope that's clear.
also the bind adds a duration to this tech. with the previous version there wasn't any. the bind holds them for the duration, which is why i want it on there.

i'ma try to clarify all that technical stuff w/my next set up site changes before beta closes. it should help out. a board will be put up sooner or later for suggestions and stuff that's not clear. save up ur suggestions/questions/concerns/misunderstandings and put them there so i'll have everything in one place. i'll just handle everything at once.

for ur tech, i had i added part of the goat in the desc b/c i thought it described what the tech was doin. ur tech structure is thowin me off, but i'm guessin there's a reason a forms library is there.

Oh! Okay. I think I get it. So I could say that it keeps them from chanting because goats just baaaah and can't talk, but they can still antichant a spell and get it out that way, and if I wanted to prevent all spells I should specify a stun?

not sure what this means "Can be recast to resist death/unconsciousness for longer, but Iskra accumulates further damage while doing so" but it's probably not needed in the description. like i dun see you recasting this at 0 hp, etc. but if you're not dead, you should be able to recast any tech you have w/o having to specify that you can recast it.

Effects: Ice density = up to +3, size reference = up to about a totem pole
Description: Wild hyenas, though their bite is stronger than almost any other creature's per square inch, wear down their teeth much sooner than the average animal. Similarly, Iskra uses her weapons with a fierce abandon, and to prevent her equipment from giving out on her, after a particularly vicious exchange of blows she might freeze her weapon over, allowing ice to reinforce the cracks like a scab over a wound. Despite the name, this tactic works on weapons, armor, or any other item with density. Can help construct buildings if needed.
