Region of Latito (T9)

The region of Latito is known for its beautiful landscape and waterfalls. The villages are made up of peaceful people and close knit families. Every family has their roles that coincide with the good of their village. While the main village rest in on the inland in the crystal lake, isolated and closed off to outsiders. The outlining settlements grow from the trade routes leading to The'Den, Jun'Jo, and Inanis. One such settlement is a small isolated fishing village called Eniel. It rest on the rocky shore of the crystal lake and was no more than five miles north of The'Den. A week has past from the last time trade has be received from Eniel. Those that had be sent to the village have yet to return. Hunters have reported a strange fog in wondering woodlands that border that village and at night there is the glow of a fire with no smoke. With all of attempt to contact the village ending with more question, the elders of the neighboring villages seek help from elsewhere.

A messenger was sent to get aid from the neighboring villages that were known to hold militia. The closest would be Theden. It would be night time when the young boy comes into view of the village gates. He would be running, as if something was after him and running is the only way of saving his own life. His voice cracks form the dryness of his trough as he yells for someone to help him as he comes closer to the gate. If they are closed he would beat on them screaming for someone to let him in and if they are open he runs in and shouts for them to close the gate. There is something said about monsters being after him. A strange crimson fog rolls out of the woodlands and movies as if it is following the young boy to the walls of the fort village.

Ghost of Eniel and the Tear of the Phoenix

The guards on duty at the time notice the young boy come into view while running away from the forest at a mad dash as if trying to escape something after him. With the boy running for the gate, one of the guards yells down to the others at the gate, informing one of the guards to open the door for the boy to enter since he didn't appear to be a threat but rather running form something. With the word to open the door the guard moves to the gate and opens the door on one of the gate doors, a door made to allow entry into the village with out opening the gate. With the door open the guard steps through it and waves the young boy to enter through the opened door. Once the boy had made his way through the door the guard catches sight of the crimson fog coming from the woodland and moving towards the village, before he steps back through the open door and shuts it, locking the bolt once he had it shut. The guards that had noticed the boy notice the fog that moves towards the village, a fog that didn't seem natural given its coloration, not only did the fog not seem right but the boy also spoke of monsters being after him which caused one of the guards to begin ringing the warning bell to alert the rest of the guards as well as the village and summon those that need to know of danger.

The boy falls down a few times getting through the door. The strange crimson fog roll across the open field between the woods and the village, slamming agents the gate and wall of the village. Flames roll up as the top lair is burned off of the wood lighting the night in the burning glow. Human shaped beast with bodies made up of the crimson color fog and fire, scale up the walls with their sharp claws. Their numbers are unclear as they claim over the wall. The gate rumbles as something bigger tries to break through. One of the fire beast gets the sneak on one of the guards. It's flaming claws pass right through any armor. Rather than cutting man's body, it rips out the soul within. The body just fall limp like the lifeless shell it has come. The beast drags the screaming soul back down the wall into the mass of the crimson fog.

Ghost of Eniel and the Tear of the Phoenix

As the bell rang out, echoing through the village other guards begin to mobilize and move towards the area where the bell had begun to ring. While guards move towards the area of the ringing, villagers begin to rouse from there rest at the sound of the bell and leave there houses, moving away from the sound of the bell.

At the gate where the boy had came with the fog, the guards stand vigil as the fog moved across the field drawing closer to the gate and wall before it finally made contact with the wall. As the fog made contact with the wall the wall lights a blaze and lights the night sky with a burning glow. With the fog came ghastly human shaped creatures. As the creatures scale the walls the guards ready themselves, believing the beings to simply be some kind of demon. The guard that had been ringing the bell to alert the villager had not been paying attention to beyond the gate and the creatures and paid the price as one of the creatures gets the drop on him, though as the creature attacks the rest of the guards are audience to a horrific surprise as the creature seems to rip the soul of the man right from his body and drag it down the wall and into the crimson fog.

With the alarm echoing through the village Yuki is roused from his slumber as the sound of something pounding on wood comes from his front door. Raising from his bed Yuki leaves his room and goes to the front door before pulling it open to see what had woken him up. As the door comes open a guard looks to Yuki, " Sir the alarm has been raised, someone is attacking the village. " With the guard informing him of an attack upon Theden, Yuki gives a faint nod, " Alright. I need to grab my weapon. " Yuki says as he departs the door and moves over to get his broadsword. As Yuki fetches his weapon the guard leaves the dwelling and heads for the gate that the alarm had come from.

Chamilia, arriving to the gate in response to the alarm, takes a brief moment to survey what was going on, her gaze shifting to the gate as it rumbles in response to something trying to break through it. Turning her gaze to the creatures that where coming over the wall she draws an arrow from her quiver and pulls it back on her bow as she takes aim at one of the creatures before loosing the arrow, shooting it at one of the creatures.

Not only had Chamilia came in response to the alarm, Lilias had come, drawn to the gate in response to the alarm and in defense of what had become her home. With broadsword in hand Lilias had set her sight on the gate given that something large seemed to wish passage through the gate.

The gate rumbles like a steady drum, with each beat the wood cracks a splitters from the force on the other side. The fire beast keep coming over the side of the wall, they are as easily killed as they are able to kill. The ones that are stuck by arrows and blades fall into a burning ash. The beast that are able to snatch the souls of anyone close by, be it a guard or the slow old woman with the walker, or the small child that tripped while fleeing to safety, are dragged back over the wall into the crimson mist. Although death comes easy to them, their assault is fearless and unforgiving.

The Messenger boy that was hoping the walls would save him, flips out and starts screaming about how they are all going to die. The gates give out from the ramming spending shards of broken wood everywhere knocking down those nearby. A great beat lets out a rolling roar that carries in the night air. Fire comes from the beast mouth and off its body as it massive body forces its way through the gate.

Ghost of Eniel and the Tear of the Phoenix

With the creatures coming over the gates, the guards do what they can to put up a good fight, wielding sword and shield, spears, and other one-handed weapons they fight with back up from a small group of ranged fighters firing arrows upon the creatures to give the soldiers covering fire and some small form of protection from the strange creatures. Along with the soldiers and rangers engaging the creatures, Chamilia had already begin to fight along side her group of rangers, the blond haired elven female firing arrow after arrow along side her comrades.

As the gate gives way to the creature behind it, Lilias stands vigil as she watches the wood go flying from the force of the strike and as things settle down and the beast lets out a roar while making its presence known, the red haired barbarian grins at the sight of the fiery beast as it forces way through the gate. With the beast forcing its way through the gate and into Theden, Lilias tightens her grip on the broad sword and rushes straight for the large beast.

Having taken just enough time to gather his two blades Yuki departs his house and quickly makes for the gate where the attack had begun, putting the full extend of his speed to use as he rushes for the area. Drawing upon the area Yuki takes notice of the large beast that had broken its way through the gate. With the size of the beast Yuki decides to give Fefnir a go at the beast and as such he tightens his grip upon one of the blades three handles and leaps into the air, launching himself straight for the large beast. Coming down upon the beast from on high, Yuki launches into his offence by bringing the massive blade down in a chopping motion as if trying to cleave the beast in two.

The fire beast climbing over the wall fall from the blows of the swords and arrows. The body turns to burning embers, causing small fires to break out. With the gate open a large number of them rush in causing the fires to grow larger as they fall to the rain of arrows.

The brave elvain ranger leading her troops into the battle finds herself confronted by a shadowy figure that falls from the sky. It is a female in shape standing over six and a half feet tall, long golden hair that shines brighter then the noon sun and moves like fire. Burning crimson eyes that pierce through the souls of those they gaze at, look down at Chamilia. A faint smile can been seen on the blurred face. A countless number of chains made of fire burst from the palm of her hand, binding all of those in the area. The elvain ranger becomes trapped by the strong will of the being before her and falls unconscious into the beings arms.

With the leaping attack strikes Magnaros, the large fire beast, cutting into its his stone shoulder and down into his chest. Molten fire spurt up into the air like blood and rains down over the area, burning and setting fire to anything it touches. The beast groans and its large clawed hand comes to slap Yuki with a Abnormal force. The wound that Yuki was already starting to mend.

Ghost of Eniel and the Tear of the Phoenix

Though the large beast had made its way through the fence the soldiers that had come to the gate and remain standing fight on along side the rangers that had come to fight as well, fighting with all there might and metal to fend off the attackers, though the ones around Chamilia find themselves in a bind as a new foe shows up.

With the appearance of the large woman standing before her, Chamilia's attention had turned to the large woman that stood before her, however before she could do anything to try ad defend herself against the newcomer the large woman unleashes chains of fire from her hand that claim all in the area, binding them in there fiery grasp, Chamilia included. As she is bound by the chains, Chamilia begins to struggle though her strength was not as her leaders and probably not strong enough to break free from the chains, though as she struggles she does cry out for aid as she struggles against the chains that had bound her.

With Yuki having come onto the scene and launched into an attack upon the large beast, Lilias took the initiative and launched into her own attack as Yuki strikes a lethal blow to the large beast sending spurts of fire into the air like blood to rain down upon the area and unfortunately set fire to things. Charging in towards one Magnaros' legs Lilias unleashes a quick slash with her blade.

Having landed the attack, Yuki knew that there was to be a counter attack though what he didn't know was that it seemed the beast had fire for blood which turned out to be a bad thing given what fire likes to do. Being struck by the claw with strength greater then his, Yuki is knocked away from Magnaros and falls to the ground before he begins to recover from the strike.

The wild red headed woman's broad sword scraps across the large fire beast stone skin as she attack its legs. The sound of metal running across stone echoes in the chaos, sparks fly with the blade strikes. The beast foot lefts up and slams down onto the ground causing it rumbling shockwave to rush through the earth. The flaming tail of the fire beast lashes out at the woman, tries to wrap itself around her body to throw her down onto the ground. It's attention seems to be focused on Yuki and the red headed woman was no more than an annoyance. It starts to move towards him of a moment before something seems to stop it. The number of beast coming from the crimson mist start to drop and they seem to be retreating.

With the elvain woman trapping with in her chains of flames, a burning gate opens before the shadowy figure. A soon as she had appeared, the tell figure with the burning golden hair steps through the portal with Chamilia in tow. As the portal closes, all those in the area get a vision mixed with the feelings of hate and anger. The vision is unclear flashes of events but seems to show that someone had taken something that should have been untouched at a village by a body of water.

With the female figures departure, the fire beast retune to the red mist. The last to return would be Magnaros and with him joining the mist, it pulls away from the village and back into the woodlands. Leaving the village to burn.

Ghost of Eniel and the Tear of the Phoenix

Having loosed her attack upon the beast, Lilias finds that it has little effect against the beasts rock like skin, however before she can prepare for a second attack the large beast lashes out at her with his tail and catches her in its fiery coils before slinging her to the ground.

Climbing to his feet Yuki looks towards the beast Magnaros and notices that Lilias had been put to the ground by the beast however he seemed to have stopped moving for some reason. Shifting his gaze, Yuki glances towards the other beasts as he notices that they start to retreat from the village. Turning his gaze Yuki catches sight of the burning gate that had been opened and the figure that had Chamilia in tow as she went into the flaming gate before he could even think of trying to stop her. With the closing of the portal Yuki finds himself being assaulted by a mix of visions and feelings of hate and anger that where not his own. Gripping his head as the vision shows him something that seemed unclear to him though showing some sort of event that had transpired at a village.

As the vision stops Yuki lets his hand fall back to his side and gazes ahead for a moment though the foes that had attacked his village had gone and the large beast of flame Magnaros makes his retreat as well leaving the village to burn as it does.

The fires keeps raging on till some of villagers start to put them out with buckets of water and dirt. The glow of the red mist moves through the woodlands, making them look like they are on fire till it vanishes somewhere in the northeast. The messenger boy that it seemed to be after finds a nice dark corner to hide in. The sun starts to come up.

Ghost of Eniel and the Tear of the Phoenix

Dawn comes and the sun’s radiance blanket’s the land. A small band of troops on large land birds come strolling down the road that leads from The’Den to Jun’Jo. A crimson flag bearing the emblem of a golden phoenix is held high in the air at the end of a polearm held by one of the riders. At the head of the line Light, in her normal décor of the white coat with the one armored shoulder pad and crimson sash hanging from it, looks at the rolling smoke coming from the Jun’Jo’s neighbor. This does not cause any more of a rush then the unit was already at. Her sapphire eyes glance around at the burnt village walls, odd looking claw marks, dead bodies, and the broken gate. The question of what happen does pop into her mind but nothing is said as the large bird is lead to enter. Stepping over the shards of broken wood from the gate that has be knocked off the hinges.
