Paco had a task before him; he was to go out and find suitable clothing for the master’s new pet. He didn’t like ‘special people’ or those who generally got too close to Domen, and thus he wouldn’t have a high opinion of Shukumei; but he did know that when his master ordered him to do something, he had to do it. As such, the order was given down from Domen to see that Shukumei is properly trained to the point where she could stand before him worthy. It wasn’t really explained at all what ‘worthy’ meant, but Paco expected that it meant to make sure she was toughened up a bit before Domen would begin to train her personally. From what he could understand, the girl was supposed to have great power, but for some reason it was dormant, and awakening it was probably Domen’s command, since he would be busy building up multiple territories in Terra and Onitoshi as well as training his body to become stronger.

Domen would have left the realm of Onitoshi, leaving only Shukumei and Paco in the large ‘shrine’ that was currently their abode. The various clans would be busy building and training as they normally did and with the rising of the… well heat… Paco would awaken, very sweaty and uncomfortable in his full sized human form. Within this building, the main room would be in the center, reachable from the front door, a sanctuary of sorts with open space for kneeling and an alter at the end. This was an area for his people to pray to his will in order to ask for blessings or forgiveness. Aside from the main room, there would be side rooms on the left and right flanks of the building. Paco would have his ‘bed’ in one of the auxiliary rooms of the stone building that was empty… as many of the room of the new structure where. Leaning up on the hard ground on only a blanket he brought with him from Terra, he would lift up and wipe some of his sweat drenched blond locks from his face. “By the master it’s always hot down here… why must I be trialed in this manner?” he would ask the air before begrudgedly getting up to check on Shuku.

The Hell I do With Her

The small figure of the girl warped in her dark robes, stands before the alter of the divine sanctuary. The burning red aura flares off her body. The room is abnormally hot with no need of additional lighting. She is the burning sun and her flames reaching out to warm the worlds with their touch, bring them to the light of life. A hand is held out to the alter and the other rest on her chest as words flow from her light lips in a bird like song.

I can die tomorrow and I have not loved.
My lips never touched a woman's while I loved.
None has given me her soul in a look; none in heart
Has held me, exhausted with love, to her heart.

I have but suffered for all nature, each moment.
For the beings, the wind, the flowers, the firmament,
Suffered through all my nerves minutely, like a knife.
Suffered to have a soul still not yet pure enough.

I spat upon love, and I have killed the flesh.
Mad with pride on this Earth enslaved by Instinct's leash,
I alone stood and stiffened myself against life.
I challenged the Instinct with a bitter laugh.

Everywhere in the salons, at the theater, in church.
Before these cold great men, these men of finest touch,
And these women with gentle, or jealous, or proud eyes
Whose tender, ravished soul one might virginally rechase,

I thought: all these are come to it. I heard in their rites
The roarings of the unclean coupling of brutes.
So much mire with an access of three minutes in mind!
Men, be correct! O women, keep your smiles reined!

Jules Laforgue

She voice the words of ancient literature that she had read long ago. Words that have been gotten, beautiful words that are now lost in a script that can no longer be understood by those that it was mint for. Words that are now spoken by a being that they would cruse and spit at for following her true nature. The being that was once pure before she was tainted by their wickedness. By teaching her to love, they open the door to hate, to lust, to the unforgiving rage, and to the great pride of her resolve. The resolve to grow, so one day her flame will wrap around their world. Burning that wicked world to ash so a new one can be created. And from the ash a new world will be born. A world that is pure, free of all their wickedness.

Exiting from his room, or rather the room he laid his head down for what could be considered a night in Onitoshi, Paco makes his way into the main corridor that led to the center of the building. While walking, he would scratch his back lazily and proceed through the process of waking up and fully pepping up his fairy dust. From there, he would pass the opening that spanned into the open sanctuary and see Shukumei at the altar. Pausing in the entry way, he would lean against it and gaze into the area where the lord’s young apprentice, pet, or otherwise, was, seemingly in the process of doing something. He figured since they were in Onitoshi, finding a place to train her shouldn’t be that hard. He definitely wasn’t going to fight against her since he didn’t like to do that type of stuff casually. He exercised his tongue much more than he exercised his body, though he wasn’t too shabby when it came to at least defending himself and others. Instead, he would allow the terrain to train the girl with the thought process of taking her to a few spots of questionable safety. That way, if she died, he could just explain to Domen that she didn’t survive and the blood wouldn’t be on his hands. On the flip side, if she lived, then it would be a job well done on his behalf as well. Speaking out in a chipper tone, having finally awoken, Paco would greet casually, “greetings fire child. Are you ready for a rousing day?”

Turning her attention from the altar to the fairy boy when he speaks in his chipper tone. The burning red eyes focus on him leaning in the entry way for a moment before she replies to him. "There is no day or night in the southern heavens. You do realize that by now do you not, fair boy? But I presume your need for sleep would make it appear as if there is a day and a night. The real question would be how do you measure the time in a realm where there isn't a physical change in the environment and time has little to no meaning. This is something I shell ponder on when time is given." Her figure shift to move towards him. She flicks back a lock of crimson hair that hangs from the dark hood draped over her head before folding her arms across her abdomen. "If I should be ready for a rousing day, then you have something for me?" With her standing so close to him, it would feel like he was standing next to at raging fire that is about to consume him its great fury.

The first hash mark comes to Paco’s head shortly after the pint sized demoness opens her mouth. He felt that she was perhaps too comfortable here in his master’s southern quarters. After the first set of words come out, Paco would simply acknowledge, “riiight…” It didn’t seem like she actually wanted an answer to the question, so he didn’t bother. As she shifts towards him, his body shifts from its leaning position on the wall and he stands up feeling the heat that came off of her body. Since her dryness melted away his good humor, he'd be only a little frumpy at this point. Not any more comfortable in front of her than he was in this place overall, he would answer shortly, “yes, since it is my master’s desire, I must escort the girl in heat to her training. If you need to make preparations I can wait for you outside, but try not to make me way to long.” After this, he wondered if he would have time to head back up to the surface for lunch; the only issue was that the surface was so damn far away and it took what seemed like forever to get there and back.

"Training?" This would be the part where the evil magical girl would put her hand over mouth as she let out an evil laugh. Sadly Shukumei was not a magical girl, evil yes and she may even look the part. One should never trust their eyes, unless they are about to get hit by a train or something. That is something that she would laugh at maybe.... still very unlikely. She doesn't even snicker at the crack about the girl in heat. The burning eyes just glare at Paco for a moment as she pauses with the question that she doesn't really need an answer too. Her body then turns and movies towards the main door way. The ends of the robes flare up as she does so and the tails of the scarf around her neck flaps up into Paco's face. "Every well if that is what the Master desires then I will make it so. There is no need to waste time with preparations for such a trivial task that will not take long to see its completion."

The fairy’s gaze would watch as she moves around him to the main door. Hearing her answer causes him to sigh lightly and rub the back of his neck as he remembers how easy it was working with the master’s other pet, Kazakura. Her luscious valley of flesh, her soft and tender demeanor… to him, she was like an angel when compared to the devil that was his current task to watch over. Thinking on things, Kaelas, the one story tiger that attempted to eat him at every given chance, may have been an easier entity to work with than the hot girl. Turning around, Paco begins to walk towards the door as well, making his way outside.

Outside, hell would be another lovely hellacious day that would greet Paco with the smell of burning brimstone and intense heat with neither a beach in sight nor lovely beauties asking him to apply sun tanning lotion to them. Instead of a beach, there was hard flat land with various demons of various types all working towards their master’s ideals.

Having been down here a few times and having had scouted the area when his master had first laid claim to this domain, Paco would recall an area that seemed as if it hosted battles between demons. A plan starts to devise in his mind. Since she seemed ready to go, Paco would glance over to her and speak, “this way…” Sparkles glisten about his back as translucent fairy wings form and flutter like dragon fly wings. Radiating fairy dust, Paco lifts up into the sky and begins to fly at his normal ‘strong’ rate of speed in the direction he remembered the area to be. While flying towards the destination in mind, Paco would make sure that Shukukei was fully up to date on things of this realm. His master wasn’t one who talked a lot, so there could be a chance she still had questions, so during this time, he would attempt conversation, speaking, “…so you just ‘woke’ up recently. I’m pretty sure things aren’t the same as when you existed. Did you come from the time that had the large human technological city as well?”

The fairy boy takes off leaving the tail of his fairy dust that can make little kids fly when they thing of a happy thought. Shukumei finds his rate of speed to be impressive and much higher then she thought it would be. I will not hinder her moments as much as she first believed he would. The wings of burning flames burst from her back, picking her feet up off the ground with a strong beat. Catching up with Paco, she moves to his side to follow him to the appointed place of training. Her burning eyes glance over at him when the question. The words he chooses does not really line up with what really happen but from a point of view it would seem like she had just 'woke'. "Had?" She would question as the word implies that the human city was no long there. The words bring more questions as the last she remember was that even through their numbers where overwhelming they were losing the ground war in the human realm. She even had to revive one of the pillars after in fall to the human's sky weapon. "Yes, I lived in the time of technological city.... What happen to the city? Did it fall to the Hogosha? Did Koutakushi fall to ruin as well?" She would give the barrage of questioning to Paco while she really wished he would just provide her with a book of written history to read. That would be the fast way to pass her the information but she didn't find anything like that in the shrine anywhere. Onikonjou's where not known for being good studiers.

“Ah!” Paco would realize that she was behind the times in what was going on. So his first instinct had been right and his golem like master hadn’t been much to bring up conversation about the times. It made since sense talking wouldn’t be something that he believed would make someone stronger and at the moment, he just needed this pet to be up to speed when it came to ability. Now with something useful to do while they fly, Paco would gladly answer, believing himself to have an upper hand of knowledge not grasped by his traveling companion, “well, a lot happened…” he would begin. He continues in his normal cherry tone, “in what I would like to call the final battle where the great demon of darkness fought the spirits of light, before my master could destroy them both, they managed to do something that caused a red light that covered the world! This red light must have done something because when it was over everything stopped for us… the people of that realm. I awoke to this realm and immediately sought after my master who had just woken up as well. It’s safe to assume every one of us from that time who woke up here experienced the same thing. This world is different from the one with the technological city; in this world, there was a second dawn that brought forth life. No one remembers anything before the second dawn, but they have lived for about twenty five years now to create the world as it is. From what I can assume, their world is the remains of our world, because there are still things from our world, but they are worn… much more so than by twenty five years, however! The city is without power and overgrown with plant life, spirits and humans get along a lot better than from when we came, and people are tribal and archaic. You’ll start to notice the differences when we go to Terra and you start to move around more.”

What the fairy boy has to say is interesting. Now that it had been spoke of, she does remember the red light before the darkness. Shukumei had not found the human world to be to her liking but the technological that had come from there was most useful to her and she was missing having her cell phone. It cost a lot to get and had really good signal with a 6G network, 3D Navigation, and 72 hours of running time before needing recharged. Had some really good apps and all of her MP3s on it. It was fire and water proof so maybe it is still on the ground somewhere.... The battery would be dead... but she could build a windmill and charge it back up. I couldn't be too hard. She does remember reading about this man that couldn't read building a windmill out of junk to power lights inside his house all by looking at the pictures from a science book.

"Interesting, so the three worlds have taken a step back into what sounds like the time of Merkus. Disappointing, the humans where just starting become worthy of my interest. I do hope they are still fun to torment for my own amusement."

Paco would accept that answer as it were and simply comment, “mhmm.” He didn’t know what she meant, but he pegged her as being some type of sadist when it came to humans. Aside from Kazakura, Paco didn’t have much stock in humans either way. His main interests were the fairy kingdom and Domen. They were still a far ways away from the place that Paco thought he wanted to get to, but alas, they were in hell, and in hell it was survival of the fittest. For a while, they had been flying and things had been relatively quiet; there had to be some reason for it since they were outside of the domain contained by the People of Pride. That would be because they were in the calm before the storm. Paco would not notice a large stone they were flying over; less of a large stone, it looked more like a miniature mountain, but only tall enough to be a hill, so in essence it was more of a bolder. After passing, the stone moves and creases appear on the side. Wings flap out, to reveal a stony bird that lifts its head from being tucked into its chest. Looking up, it seems diner flying in the air. Its massive C classed wing span beats out and it screeches out towards the two flying. Paco’s butt clenches a bit as he hears something behind him and turns around. His immediate response is that whoever was slowest would get eaten first. That mixed with his quick thinking, leads him to call out, “ah! There is it! The target master wanted you to eliminate!”

The Hell I do With Her

Quite falls on use leaving me to ponder about a few things in my own little world as we fly to this place of training. She was mostly sad about the loss of her cell phone and wondering if there was still cheesecake in the world. It would be a grim eternity without both of them... or at less a long five hundred years waiting for someone to find out how to make them again... The sound of the large flapping wings draws her attention as it comes up from behind them. Paco then declares that it was the target the Master wanted eliminate. I has been a while since she had to do a cleanup job, but she was good at being a problem solver and making the boss happy. "Very well."

Her left hand comes to meet her right, "Come forth, Ashbringer." The make on the back of her right hand glows as she pulls dark blade free. The blade swirls and dances with dark energy, is a long as she is tall. It felt odd for the once sword master to have trouble with her own blade due to the size of her body. Adjustments where going to be need to make this work. Crimson flames wrap themselves around the blade mixing with the dark energy it is made up of. The burning wings fold out to catch the wind like an air break letting her shot back past the stone bird in an attempt to do a passing strike on the creatures wing as she flies back. Mixed with wave of her fire and the physical power of the blade. "Flame Strike!" The flames are unleashed with the strike of the blade.

There would be a sense of relief from Paco as he saw that she accepted her fate so easily. Paco blinks once, then twice, then his wits kick back in and he looks around for a good place to hide while this went on. The actual battle wasn’t important to him as was making sure he lived to see another day. He would scurry off with the onset of Shukumei’s attack. Though it was larger than her, the bird would match her speed and dexterity; though even greater in dexterity due to the use of momentum in her attack. As she rushed to pass and slash as it, its main focus was on eating her, but in order to do that, it had to make her stop moving. Thus as she rushes towards it, it strikes out with its beak to grab her body by the middle, interrupting the passing, and just as quickly flings her down, like a flicking of the wrist, and towards the ground with an impressive amount of strength befitting a bird of that size. Their distance above the ground could be estimated at about ten stories at the current time making ‘hell’s ceiling’ to be very far above almost as if the sky. If the catch and throw was successful, the large bird would then perform a screeching attack to attempt to drive Shukumei down to the ground below like a meteor (Sonique Rasp, ERT3, AOE2).

The attack falls short of coming to pass with it being interrupted by the snatch her by the midsection. In a Bleach style move the small body is thrown down to the ground with the aid of the screeching attack. Shukumei tries to push back the mass of the sonic wave pushing down on her after being thrown like a ragdoll. The ground shacks from the impact of the small body hitting it like a bullet. The hard stone ground crack and gives way to from a crater. Red dust rolls up into the air and across the area. The small frame struggles to back in the rolling dust. Bright Red blood runs down her right arm and down the side of her face. Drops fall to the broken stone, scorch it black before plant life start grow in its places. She licks her lip to taste the sweet flavor of life. A faint smile come across her visage, the grip on the hilt of the black blade flexes. The air around her starts to swirl with an increase in temperature clearing out the dust cloud and her body becomes covered in flames. The cuts on her body close and the bleeding is stopped.

After sending her down to the ground, the avian would remain in the air to see how its attack would have worked out, but only for a moment. In seeing her hit the ground and recover, it would tilt its body downward and be in the process of closing the distance between them. Since she was still moving the bird would justify that swallowing her would still be out of the question. Eating things whole that moved tended to be bad for the digestive system and having lived this tough for this long, the big did not want to be pooping blood when it dropped its bombs later. Thus, more ‘tenderizing’ would be in order with the goal of making it so that she couldn’t move so that she could be digested easier. Thus in the mid portion of its swooping down, probably around the five story distance, the large bird creature would interrupt its downward motions and lift horizontally as it beat is rather large wings sending down swirling blades of wind down and towards the grounded Shukumei (Blade Cutters, Wind, DMG=2+1, REP2 over AOE2). The swirling blades of magical wind energy would probably kick up sizable dust in their wake and provide a good amount of umph if they were to hit their target.

Somewhere in a hidden area, Paco’s back would rest against a rock and he would give a sigh of relief as he made an escape and would live to see another day if all went well.

When the dust settled, Shukumei would be protected somehow as something else would have taken the brunt of the hits for her after a fierce rumble from the ground that could have been mistaken by the impact of the large avian’s attack. A large hand, made out of rock, reaches out of the dust created by the movement and the attack and reaches out, grabbing the large bird by the waist. Apparently Shukumei had landed on a sleeping golem who awoke and was now attacking the stone bird creature that had previously been attacking Shukumei. The size of the golem was massive in order for it to grab the bird creature as it did, but it seemed like it was the ‘bigger fish’ on the food chain as it moved, seemingly unaware of Shukumei’s presence.

The Hell I do With Her

With the barrage of swirling wind blades come crashing down on over the area, and the red dust filling the air. Shukumei finds herself unharmed by the attack and guarded by a colossal stone golem that finds the stone bird to be a tasty little treat. Being unfelt by the golem, Shukumei finds that it would be easiest to get out of the way and let the colossus take it from this point on.

Hoping down from the ‘bigger fish’ while it was still playing with the ‘smaller fish’, the dust from the hard ground comes up with her bare feet touching the ground. Her hands brush the red dirt off of them as she stands there to let her burning orbs watch the outcome of her master plan of getting the ancient golem to take care of the bird for her. Or at less this is the way she will play it off as. It was just fate that the bird would throw her to the ground and wake up the colossus that was destine to consume it. The world works in mysterious ways and she just happens to play a small part in the fate of these two beings fates.

With the rumbling of the environment, Paco would turn around and look over the rock from behind where he was hiding and watch the fight take place between the colossus and the dragon bird. “Hmm…” he comments as he looks on, “it seems she has the luck of the master’s will… maybe it’ll be harder to kill her off than I thought.” Shrugging off the new development, he would make his way away from his current location.

The battle of the titans continues over head as the large bird is pulled from the sky and slammed to the ground. The bird lets out a screech that shakes the air around them and causes the golem’s head to rear back in annoyance to the sound. The massive beak crashes down on the golem’s wrist to free the bird that flutters about on the ground attempting to recompose itself. Lumbering forward, the golem would continue its pursuit of the bird as it got to its feet and swung blades of air towards it with each wing.

Paco comes to stand behind and to the side of Shukumei as he comments, “so this golem got in your way? Perhaps, this is a bit of a high order for you this early in the game. Come, we can move on from here.” With that, Paco would take to the air and begin moving away from the clashing titans and fly towards the east heading to more populated areas of Onitoshi unless stopped.
