The Trek to The Samurai III Empty
PostSubject: The Trek to The Samurai III   The Trek to The Samurai III EmptyTue Feb 07, 2012 6:48 pm

Leaving from Theden, I soar thru the sky to the southeast as if headed towards the Desert Lands. The flight would be swift, but it would give me plenty of time to think about what had occurred and how I had changed since I lost saw my lord. Thinking also on the fact that I had since been separated from him for over a month now. This constituted a problem to me. I also find myself worried about Mirage as well. She knows The Network very well but I am concerned that perhaps I left her with too much responsibility. As I approach the village, I find that construction has been progressing in full force during my absence. Good to see fertile plots of farmland and different roads have been paved to allow easier travel. One would think that it has been far longer than "a month or so" since I had departed. My flight resumes as I head for one of the medium houses... mine. I land on the roof perched upon the ledge looking down at the street. The nearby villagers are confused at the sight. One of the young maidens of the villages who until this moment, I had not paid much attention to stops and bows to me. "You have returned, Master Hunter." I look down at her from my perch and cock my head to the side to look at her. Before I am able to respond, a very familiar visage approaches the Jun'Jo Hub. The young maiden steps aside as my presence sends a shiver up the approaching operative's spine. She looks up to find eyes peering back down at her. She remains frozen in place and the two operatives with her stop as well upon realizing that she was no longer paying attention to them. They kneel where they are. She speaks with great happiness, almost seeming to be fighting back tears. "Welcome home, Master." I nod to her before I drop off the roof and float down to hover directly in front of her.

Jyn would look up and speak in an enlightened tone, “I feel a strong presence…” He would lower his gaze and close his eyes as he concentrated with a humming noise emitting from his chest. His face would partially contort as he continues to concentrate on the strong presence he felt just suddenly. His teeth grit and his muscles tighten before there is a sudden and relieving release of pressure and a warm turd falls freely onto the ground of the meadows. He had previously been training as Battousai, but switched out in order to be with Lightning for the night. Before heading home, he wanted to go ahead and get a good shit out the way since he didn’t want to stink up the house with a woman there. Standing up in the tall grasses, he looks around for a leaf or something to wipe with before discarding it and pulling his pants up. With a sigh of relief, he begins jogging his way back towards Jun’Jo.

Looking at Mirage, my eyes begin to glow faintly as I speak telepathically with her, "Lord Battousai, where is he?" She looks at me and focuses on her thoughts. She tells me that she has not gone to make her report to him yet as he was with a companion the previous night. My brow furrows at the sound of this as I have known of no such companion. Unaware of how the power drain has affected my lord, I would not know that her reference forebode the revelation that Battousai and Jyn were once again united. She tells me that there is much to brief me on. She extends her left hand towards the door and I look at the woman who first noticed me. Speaking telepathically to her, I show her an image of me nodding pleasantly to her and telling her that I will visit her shop when I have concluded my official business for the village. She smiles at me before bowing respectfully and continuing on with her daily affairs. I turn to Mirage and tell her that I do not wish to be inside right now. I tell her that I wish to see all of the improvements that have begun since my absence. She nods and we begin walking around Jun'Jo as she informs me of what has transpired over the last month and a half or so. I had seen a good deal from the sky, but I wanted to see how it appeared to the normal, everyday villager or traveler from the ground.

Since he had been a ways away from the village, it’s a good jog to get back into the main residential areas. In arriving to the village, Jyn would move from the jogging pace into a normal walk as he would think about what dinner could be tonight. He was just starting to get used to Lightning looking after him, but already he was showing signs for getting spoiled. He walks casually with his gaze partially up and to the skies as he thinks about whether or not he would be getting nookie tonight. With the thought that it was a possibility, a goofy grin comes to his face as he looks back down and towards his house. In his glance, his view is intercepted by two familiar figures: one whom he had seen around the village on a regular basis and the other, someone who had gone missing for a while… or at least looked like that guy. Seeing if it were him or not, Jyn would call from a distance of about half a block, “oy! Dravec! That you?”

As we are discussing the development of the market district, Mirage hears Jyn's call to her leader. To be honest, I didn't even notice because the name sounds so foreign to me. That was the name of the weakling and one that I would need to purge immediately. not responding, Mirage stops and looks over at me as I am observing the movement of merchants. Finally she interrupts after a few more moments pass, "Hunter, the Lord has returned. Did you not hear him call for you?" I stop and look at her. "That is not my name, Mirage. My name is Kautuka. And Jyn will kin to our lord is not our lord. Do not confuse the two. I serve Battousai and Battousai alone." She nods to me and responds, "Apologies, Master." I shake my head at her and exhale. Turning around, I look at Jyn. Gesturing towards Mirage, I begin my approach towards him. Once I am within speaking range, I would first greet him cordially before making an inquiry, "Hello Jyn. I thought you were going on a journey? Lord Battousai, where is he?" Since I had been absent during the power drain, I actually have no knowledge of the fact that the personas have been merged once again. This would prove interesting (annoying) should I learn of this fact.

Jyn would be delighted to see that it was infact Dravec whom he had seen. It was one of those moments where he was like ‘I thought I saw a puddy tat’ and thus he was rewarded in a manner that made him feel like ‘I did… I did saw a puddy tat.’ He walked towards Dravec as he and mirage do him. Upon arrival, he would give a jovial smile with a counter ‘hey.’ With the mention of the journey, he would suck his teeth and rub the back of his neck with a pained expression and mention, “about that…” while looking off to the side. Looking back to Dravec, he would state, “well, I’m pretty sure you know, but something happened and interrupted a lot of plans. It’s like everyone’s been weakened.” Thumbing to himself, he would state, “Battousai and I have been combined since the second dawn thingee, so currently, he’s inside of me.” Moving the conversation back to Dravec, he would mention, “but you… we’ve been kind of worried. It’s been a while and you just seemed to vanish on us.”

PostSubject: Re: The Trek to The Samurai III   The Trek to The Samurai III EmptyWed May 09, 2012 11:14 pm

And then the clouds engulf the ray of hope that I had for finding my lord and getting caught up on matters. This is most unfortunate to say the least. So once again, they are one. Screwed a lot of plans indeed. Still, I would have to accept this fact and just make the best of it. Seeing no reason to dwell on that which I have not the power or knowledge to fix, I simply nod and respond with a simple, "I see." When the comment arises about my absence, I respond plainly, "After the Incident in Mare Maris, I decided to deal with some personal matters. Unfortunately, the weakling overestimated his strength and nearly killed me. Since then, I returned to the land of my true people in order to begin the process of rebuilding what was damaged. A bad vision caused me to return early as I foresaw a darkness threatening. I can't quite make sense and none in the village with the gift of prophecy could see what I saw, so they could not aid me. As such, I had to leave ahead of schedule." I did not tell him that I already knew that I would have to vanish yet again once I was ready to awaken my powers. I merely needed to bide my time and allow my body to finish repairing itself and getting strong enough to withstand the full aspect of my dormant powers.

After listening to what Kautuka had to say about his absences and visions, Jyn would agree, “yeah, shits been fucked up lately” in his more simpler terms. He would assure, “you’re not alone when it comes to powers, though.” Since it was his first time seeing Dravec since that time of the second dawn, Jyn would inform, “Battousai and I we robbed of all of our powers over night. It seemed like something that happened to many people, though no one really knows why. There was an event that people are referring to as the second dawn… only we all have our memories in tact from what I can tell.”

"The Second Dawn..." I would repeat. I do not like the sound of that. SO everyone truly did lose their powers collectively. What bothers me the most though is that I have never seen or even heard of a force that could affect the entire realm all at once. This troubles me more than anything else. I inquire of Jyn since he seems to be rather knowledgeable at the moment, "Have you come across anyone who seemed to be immune to this adverse absorption?" If such a case existed, once powers were regained, they could be studied in order to figure out how they managed to retain their powers in order to accelerate the restoration of our powers in Jun'Jo. Wishing to change to more pleasant topics, I further the conversation with the other persona, "Things seem to moving along quite nicely in Jun'Jo. Are there any problems that I should be aware of? Or any matters that require immediate attention now that I have returned to my lord's side."

Shaking his head, Jyn would admit, “I haven’t come across anyone who hasn’t been affected… maybe expect for normal people who didn’t have magical powers to begin with.” Hitting on something, he things to himself, “…hmm… that means normal humans would have a better chance against demons and monsters now… probably… possibly… weird.” As the conversation shifts to Jun’Jo, Jyn would grin and comment, “yeah, we’re all putting a lot of hard work into things. Big brother was waiting on you to help him out with a lot of the things that we may need to get implemented that neither of us may have thought about. Now that you’re here, I’m sure we’ll just keep growing more.” Jyn would comment, “well, he’s working on building up an outpost near our resource center… Mirage seemed to be helping with that. She’s actually pretty good at scouting and stuff.”

This version seemed quite different. In fact, I actually don't mind this Jyn. Perhaps being reintegrated with my lord has improved him. Still, I nod to him acknowledging that the improvements seem to be coming along nicely. I look over at Mirage who had remained silent up to this point. She speaks, "Lord Jyn, you give me more credit than I require. I merely saw a need and acted as my master would. We must protect our resources if we are to advance stably. Plus the outpost is merely the starting point for a base to be created to the south and from there, it can spur into a protected community." I smile at Mirage as she voices ambitious plans for the betterment and growth of our lord's territory. Nodding, I acknowledge that trade is starting to pick up as well. "I suppose now that I have returned, I should probably have Mirage finish bringing me up to speed on everything. Plans will need to be set in motion in order to continue improving the livelihood of the lord's people. That and bathing after working out is always a pleasant idea. Will you inform the lord that I have returned and that I will be by later to receive orders?" I smirk at Jyn since perspiration would lead to him starting to give off an odor. Besides, we all have things to do for the betterment of Jun'Jo.

Jyn’s attention would shift to Mirage as she speaks and gives a minor briefing on the resource camp. A nod is given along with Kautuka’s as Mirage’s words; Jyn found her a bit reserve and humble. In his eyes, she was doing a pretty impressive thing and he felt she needed due credit, but he also could read that her type didn’t like being given too much credit, so he would hold any further words in her praise. Attention is returned to Kautuka as he speaks. With a nod, Jyn would comment, “you got it.” Knowing that Kautuka needed to get briefed by Mirage, and probably some other things, given he had a dirty mind at times, Jyn would grin and speak, “but I’ll let you get settled in and rested. I’m pretty sure Battousai will be seeing you in the morning and I’ll see you around too. Welcome back… you’re going to have to get a drink with me later.” With that, Jyn would linger for whatever words Kautuka would have before turning and proceeding to walk away and to the quarters he was currently living in.

There would be no words to speak as my reply would be a simple nod in agreement to the drink. While wine had always been my preferred drink of choice, I have discovered more... herbal liqueurs that have definitely tantalized my palette as of late. I would need to have Cinos recover said "nectar" from Sunnveil or any closer merchant village that he could find it. I know it was sold to outside villages by some of the more mercantile factions on Sunnveil, tho the humans definitely get more of an impact from its more... questionable properties than spirit-kin do. The hallucinations are said to be quite trippy in humans. I figure they must be anyway considering the humorous hallucinations that one who with spirit blood can enjoy.

Parting ways with Jyn, Mirage and I continue our walk thru the village and her continuing to debrief me about what has been missed.
