Coming Home 25 Years Later

A bit of time had passed and as things would work out, they would have caught back up with Shiori to investigate the house she used to live in with her grandmother. Instead of it being the place that she remembered, it ended up being a place run by someone who looked very much like an older version of her as well as a hybrid daughter who claimed to be Shiori’s. It was an odd and awkward moment to say the least, but from it, there were several clues to their current situation that was given. They learned that they were actually twenty five years into the future in an age after the first destruction of the world. They would learn that the current residents had no memories of the world before the battle against Dem and that no one who awoke with Jyn and Izumi had any memories of anything that had happened in that twenty year gap.

Either way, Shiori had found a home to remain in for the time being, but Jyn wanted to check on his own place to see what may await him there. It didn’t feel right staying with Shiori and her family, even if they were from an alternative realm in a sense. He would give Izumi the choice to stay or come with him, though he fully expected her to come with. From there, he would leave from that portion of Rockland and head to his own house the next day.

Thus, the sun would be high in the air as the relatively short distance would be crossed from one side of Rockland to the other. Large houses and mansions are passed on the way to Jyn’s original house, but eventually they come upon a familiar front gate. Behind it stood a slightly tattered version of Jyn’s post-commissioner bonus abode.

It was quite the thing to have found out about the time gap that had occurred from the end of the war. It wasn't as big as they had thought it was. But the age of what everything appeared was far greater than 25 years. It made no sense to her when she thought about it. This whole new post-Apocalypse world was just odd. Missing memories, missing gaps. It just brought about a whole new world of mystery, though it mattered little as she still had the man of her dreams.

Though she would keep to his side when he had decided to find his home. She gladly kept him company and walked alongside of him. Still after this she had to go to her family home grounds in the woods, well whatever was left of it to get her old belongings. They soon finally arrived upon a familiar gate. She'd whistle upon the sight that was before her. "Wow this place has gone to hell." She was a bit surprised by it's appearance, though it would be noticed that the ront door did have a nice round burned hole. and amongst the yard there was scorch marks there as well.

Jyn’s eye would twitch slightly; though a few decades had passed, he still viewed this as his house. It didn’t seem good to him that the lawn was unmanicured, no one had come to spray for termites and pests, and there were odd burn marks here and there. Aside from that, there seemed to be movement within the house and stuff visible through the windows that Jyn had never put inside the house, like piles of clothing, rags and other various subjects. Looking at the gate, however, he would see that the metal had withstood the test of time pretty well and seemed somewhat operational, though it didn’t seem to have power. “So I didn’t need to get the warranty on the gate…” he would murmur looking at it. His hand comes to the metal bars and he pushes it forward. It moves enough so that they would be able to get into the front yard from the outside, but just as he was trying to get in, a voice would call out, “who goes there? You don’t look like merchants…” An older, tall red haired male in hunter’s attire and a course beard with a bow on his back would be walking towards the gate from behind them. The rugged male greets, “you people don’t look like bandits… are you looking to join our tribe or something?” Looking to Izumi, he would grin and speak, “we may have room for one.” With a frown, Jyn would inform, “that’s actually mine…” Moving beyond that in a dismissive manner, Jyn would continue, “I’m the original owner of this house…” He wondered how he should go about explaining what happened, or if it were even worth it; if others had squatted in his home, then it really wouldn’t be his home anymore… and he had just started the mortgage on it. The red haired male takes this information with surprise as he states, “that’s impossible; we claimed this place shortly after the dawn and it was empty when we got here. That was 25 years ago; you got the wrong house, fella.”

Seeing how the house was and noticing the burn marks, Izumi blinked. "she's around..." she mumbled under her breath. Looking around there was just something told her that Rhapsody was in the area. But she didn't verbalize it loudly enough for it to be a concern. It was then they were about to venture forth into the home where once the gate was pushed a voice had appeared from behind them. Clearly this took her as surprise, probably still not use to the fact that she didn't have her sensing ability anymore. It was quite the aggravation really. Izumi didn't have a pleased look on her face and she crossed her arms underneath her breasts as she looked at this hunter, who was asking them questions. Her eyes narrowed on the remark about there possibly being one opening, clearly she didn't like the way she was being looked at by this guy.

"This is not the wrong house. We've just been away for a good amount of time." she pondered if Jyn even had pictures of himself in the house. It might help with solidifying his story, that is if the pictures weren't destroyed. She looked at Jyn a moment before looking back to this hunter who stated that this abode belonged to his tribe. She wondered if someone in there knew magic or if something else had caused the scorch's. Either way it was a question she would ask later. At the moment was the concern about getting into Jyn's home.

The man would look to Izumi and raise an eyebrow. Getting straight to the point as he liked to do, Jyn would simply inform, “we’re from the time before what you people refer to as the first Dawn. It looks like there was a second Dawn that brought us back.” Nodding to the house behind him, Jyn would continue, “she and I lived in this house before the Dawn; that is what brought us back to it now that we’ve returned.”

The man looks surprised to see this as his brows furrow and he points, “so… so you’re relic ancestors… that’s what you’re saying?” With a nod, Jyn would speak, “if that’s what you’re calling us.” The man would say, “wait… there’s a way to prove it… follow me…” With that, he would lead the way towards the front door. Stopping at the door, he would look at the burn mark and say, “what the hell?” Looking to Jyn, he would get no real response other than, “I thought you people burned my door.” The man seemed frustrated by it, but continues into the house to see if the others were okay. Coming into the front door Jyn’s eye twitches as he stands at the entrance of his home. He hadn’t expected that an entire tribe would actually live ‘in’ the house. He assumed they lived around it with only a few residents, but it seemed like there were over a dozen people living on the first floor alone. There were small tents set up with bed paddings around a central stone fireplace that seemed fabricated in the middle of his living room. There were a few women who were sitting around the fire with one breast feeding a small baby along with kids running about.

Looking to Izumi, Jyn would speak plainly, “I don’t want it anymore…” Their guide would have already passed through the living room and motioned to them speaking, “keep up there, guy.” He would lead the way upstairs and into Jyn’s study, which was pretty much turned into a living area as well. Going to the table that Jyn and Izumi had put together, he would pull a stack of papers out of one of the drawers and hand it to Izumi, or Jyn if Izumi hadn't followed this far, speaking, “if you guys are from the past, then you can read these symbols, correct?” It was basically just one of the memos that Izumi had typed up for Jyn in the past regarding the Division.

They would follow the man, Izumi was holding a bit of an aggravation about this, but was keeping it to herself, possibly her family roots nature kicking in about territory. Believe it or not Izumi was quite territorial. She did take notice of the man's reaction to the burned hole through the door. From the looks of it, it seemed like it was fired from the inside out. Izumi took a real eye to detail about how the burn trailed since the inside wasn't burned up like the outside, but a little of the entrance area was. So it told her that it was fired from the inside.

Hearing Jyn's reaction could only cause her to giggle slightly. "I don't think there is anymore purell in this time." the disinfectant hand sanitizer that usually people of pre-dawn used, well those that cared about touching germs. She knew of Jyn's OCD nature and that didn't bother her, but it was also fun to tease him about it. "but its' still amazing" she meant about how many people could fit in this place, she honestly didn't think it could fit this many. They were lead to Jyn's studies and were given a paper. Izumi blinked and looked at Jyn as if asking. 'are they serious? They can't read?' Izumi just looked over the paper without even grabbing it. "It's one of the last memo's I typed the week before the war hun." she informed Jyn.

“So this is the test…” Jyn would murmur lightly as Izumi is handed the paper. Looking to her when she speaks to him, he would nod and reach out taking the paper in her steed. With a nod, he would remember the memo, it would have been one of the last things that she placed in his desk. Thinking out loud, he would make the comment, “with no memories of the past before the Dawn, it would make sense that people would not recognize the symbols of the alphabet. That aside, someone would think that there would be at least one person in this world could have learned to read in the amount of time that’s passed.” Looking up at the red haired man, he would explain, “these symbols are referred to as letters and numbers. They symbolize information and quantity.” Pointing to the very top for the man, he would inform, “this reads ‘from the Asei Jyn.’ I’m that man and Izumi here was the one to write out this memo.” The red haired man would murmur back “me… mo…?” Jyn would explain, “it’s basically a short letter.” With that, he tosses the paper back onto the desk and speaks, “so much for your test…” Not no longer needing the male, Jyn would turn to Izumi and speak between the two of them as he asks, “so what should we do…? It’s no good to stay here; I’m not the type that would displace entire families and I don’t think I would be able to restore the place as it is…” In the background, the man would be skeptical still and be ranting in an annoying manner to show him some magic from the relic ancestors. Jyn would continue to Izumi, “…we could check out a place of your choosing…” While speaking, he becomes increasingly annoyed by the male who was still talking about giving him a sign or something, so turning to the side, Jyn lifts his arm, manifesting his pistol in it and then fires three very loud shots at the wall before the pistol forms back into liquid metal and returns to the stud on his wrist. Sobered by the sudden and loud noise as well as the holes in the wall, the man would look to the wall and then to Jyn before he drops to his knees and bows, “relic ancestors! We always believed you would return to restore our memories…!” Looking down at the bowing man, Jyn’s eye would twitch, “the hell...?”

This is certainly turning out to be quite irritating. Wouldn't make much sense for the test to be something they do not know, so even if Jyn and herself couldn't read they could have made up anything. Though Jyn's comment did make sense, but she too had that curious thought of no one being able to figure it out after all this time? Thinking a step further what sort of language is already set up here? She could only sigh and rub her temple as she facepalmed. Izumi was about to request that they head to the woods until the red haired male became irritating and caused Jyn to fire off a few shots. Even Izumi was a little startled, not as much as the male was, but just a little as she wasn't expecting him to fire off shot's like that.

she just stared at him and blinked her hands down at her side her mouth slightly ajar. least until the man started to bow. She stared at this guy and shook her head. "I think we should get outta here, we might become messiah's or something." She scratched her head. "I'd say let's venture into the woods to my families home ground, it's between rifts so it shouldn't be infested with people." That uneasy feeling about Rhapsody came about. "I wonder what caused the burn marks though..." could be something dangerous for them to watch out for. "You crazy bowing guy... do you know what caused those burn marks across the front lawn and through the front door?" Izumi did pay attention about how the man had reacted to it, so she pondered if he might have had an idea.

Jyn would nod and agree with her sentiments to move on from here; he would chalk the house up as a loss and move on. When she speaks to the bowing man, he would look down to him seeing the man look up questionably and shake his head. “I know!” comes the sound from the doorway as a small child peers into the doorway hiding behind the doorframe but peeking in, “it was a dragon!” Seeing how small the burns were, the man would chuckle as he stands to his feet and explains, “no little Timmy, dragons would leave a much larger mark than that.” The boy would protest, “it wasn’t a big dragon, but I saw it!” While this went on, Jyn would walk to the window, frowning at the fact that they didn’t seem to have any Windex. Looking out of the window his eyes would widen as he would see a black sedan, gutted out with harnesses on it that looked as if it connected to an animal of some type. The seats and interior were ripped out of the car as well and the hood was bent unnaturally to the side. It didn’t look like the vehicle was actually being used, but more like someone had been experimenting on it. “Why…” he would begin, but not even care why his car was basically destroyed like that. Without the proper tools, there’s no way they could have taken it apart in a manner that it could be put back together. “Ah!” the red haired man speaks as he notices Jyn noticing his former car, “some of our young men have been trying to figure out how it works, but now that you’re here, I’m sure you can show us.” Jyn’s eye twitches as he itches to reach for his gun again.

Izumi ignored the red hair maled and looked towards the child who mentioned that it was a dragon. Well so far it's was sounding like rhapsody. "Really a dragon? Tell me more little one, did it by any chance look like a large fat snake? Having beady black eyes? A reddish color, probably closer to a brown cause of dirt?" she walked a little closer tot he child and knelt down to look at the child face to face. She felt her heart pounding. Her motherly instinct starting to kick in for worry about her 'child' "Also where did you see this dragon? What was it doing?" She even pondered if Rhapsody changed at all, or would even remember her. But either way she needed to know, she had to find out.

The child would look to Izumi, happy that a grown up was giving him the time of day. With a bright smile he would gladly oblige her and nod, “yes yes, that’s the one!” After she crouches before the child, the child would reach for her hand and point behind him, “here, I’ll show you the way I saw it go! You want to come with me?” Without really waiting for an answer to the question, the boy would start attempting to pull Izumi towards the hallway and to the staircase to head downstairs.

Looking to the red haired male, Jyn would comment, “not interested.” He hadn’t come all this way to help them get his car, which they destroyed, up and running. He would look to Izumi and the child as they interacted before returning his attention to the male who was still speaking. “Please,” the male would inquire, “there must be something you can share with us from the past realm.” With a frown, Jyn would explain, “this house doesn’t even have power… there’s a limit to what I can show you.”

Yes! This was good Rhapsody might just be near! The child was willing to show him where he saw the dragon go. So she of course would happily let him take her hand to lead her where he last saw the dragon go. Of course she looked back at Jyn a second. "Hun, Rhapsody..." was all she said before the child would drag her off to show her where the dragon went. This was quite important to her as she had been wondering where her dear sweet Rhapsody might have gone. Hopefully she hadn't been getting herself into trouble, though it was only a matter of time. "What was the dragon doing in the house anyway?" She asked the child since the front entrance showed that it was fired from the inside out.

Jyn would nod that he understood about her leaving. If they were to find the little lizard then they would have one more ally in this odd world they were in. Turning his gaze back to the man speaking to him, he would see the man’s inability to grasp the scope of what he was asking. “P… power you say?” the man attempts to understand. With a nod, Jyn would inform, “with power the bulbs over your head would magically light up and provide light day or night to this room.” Pointing to the computer, he continues, “that machine would be able to run and can be used to collect data and communicate across the world, among other things.” His tone is flat, “you’re understanding is so basic, it would take years for you to understand the simplest of things. It’s best if you don’t try to understand the world before your memories, or your brain may explode…” He would be taking some liberties with that one, but he was getting tired of the conversation.

The child would lead the way downstairs and speak, “it didn’t come in. I think it was trying to get in, but when it saw us, I think we scared it away.” They would make it to the backdoor. The child would slide it open introducing a back yard filled with high grasses and weeds that seemed more like a meadow than a back yard. Pointing out into the expansive yard, the boy would speak, “it ran this way!”

Ran away? That was odd, Rhapsody wouldn't run, unless... this unsettling panick settled inside of Izumi, maybe she was looking for her and couldn't find her and was only going back to the places she remembered where Izumi had last been? She whispered under her breath. "Rhapsody..." She was shown the back and her eyes widened seeing how high the grass rose up. It was quite the site the grass being so high. You really would never imagine this place to be Jyn's given that it was so uncared for. "surely the gardener must be fired..." she laughed nervously as she joked to herself about the backyard. She looked at the child and smiled. "Thank you very much, I think I'll take it from here." she didn't want the child to get hurt or lost or anything and then she'd be at fault for letting the child come since well it wasn't her kid to beging with, she would make her way through this 'meadow' hoping that Rhapsody might still be somewhere in the area. She was quite good at hiding.

“My brain…” the man holds his head wondering what type of information could cause such an overload. Flat toned and straight faced, Jyn would answer, “yes... you’re brain would explode. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to catch up with Izumi and see about where we’re going to live now.” The man would offer in earnest, “ancestor, you can stay here with our tribe.” Walking towards the door, Jyn would reject, “no thank you; I will pass on your offer.” With a frown, the male would make a comment about the ancestors being condescending. Jyn would ignore it and leave the office, heading downstairs to meet back with Izumi.

The child would have no choice but to allow Izumi to continue on her own. He was glad enough that he had been helpful thus far and would give a nod with a “hmm” and tell Izumi to be careful because dragaons were powerful. He does make the request that if she caught it, to bring it back so that he could keep it as a pet, but aside from that, he would remain near the house.

She thanked the child for the warning, but she knew more than anyone else how strong dragon's were. She faced off against one long time ago, that's how she found Rhapsody, she didn't win, but she didn't lose the fight either, but none the less that dragon was still quite powerful. For now though that was the last thing on her mind, she quickly made her was through, being cautious about where she stepped. There was some evidence that people had been through here, or rather something went through here as she noticed the grass how they were bent apart like something pressed upon it with some weight pushing them apart from each other. She wondered just how far Rhapsody made it too. She wanted to believe that it was her dear sweet Rhapsody and she was going to find out if it was the last thing she did.

While Izumi went out on the hunt for her dragon, Jyn would be making it down stairs. He still couldn’t get used to the fact that there were tents and a woman breast feeding in his living room. There was only a small amount of solace in the fact that he hadn’t moved a lot of stuff into this place as he had just started living in it. Standing at the base of the stairs and ignoring the gaze of others that may be on him, he begins to think if there is anything in the house that he would need. He figured it was safe to assume that anything of particular use was either moved or currently in use. He still had a few things left in his apartment that were more personal than the basic stuff he had brought here, but if the outskirts were like this, he could only imagine what downtown was like, much less Gothstone. He figured that would be the area to have the largest human population since it did before hand.

Deciding there was nothing that he could think of that he felt like looking for at the moment, Jyn continues to the backdoor passing the boy who had assisted Izumi. Looking out into the field, Jyn wondered how hard it would be for Izumi to track down her dragon again. With a sigh, he murmurs to himself, “I suppose I can look for him too…” He corrects himself, “…her… him got me blasted…”

Izumi had moved pretty far in quite a short amount of time. she was getting close to running into a full burst of speed, but her long lavender hair fluttered in the wind trailing behind her, quite easily noticeable to those with good eye sight. "Rhapsody!" she yelled out. Further she progressed, but still there was nothing. Well off in the distance ahead of her there was a perfectly burned large circle that from what she was able to tell was clear of anyone else...wait was there people there?! Izumi's eyes widened as she bursted into a full blown run. She saw figured just hanging out at the edge of the large burned circle as there was this black blotch, possibly covered in soot, that kinda blended with the black spot it was in. Of course from the distance Izumi was at she couldn't tell if there was something there yet.

In the distance, Jyn’s eyes would catch hold of Izumi’s trademarked hair as it flutters in the wake of her movements. He would also hear her calling out for the lizard, so with that, he would be able to tell where she was. Still, he felt it was a good idea to keep up with her so they didn’t have to come back across this area before moving onto the next place. Since she was moving pretty fast, he would take up a light jog to at least stay within ear shot of her as she made her way out into the vastness of Jyn’s former back yard.

Thus Jyn would be moving through the tall grasses at a casually pace, heading in the direction that Izumi was heading. As he ran, his mind couldn’t help but to think on what they would do from here. Even if the area where Izumi’s clan house was untouched, it would still be that place far off to him. He was starting to come to grips with the fact that nothing would be as comfortable as it had been. He noticed, profoundly, that he had taken a lot for granted in his former life. Hot water, lights, heat and electricity were all things that he felt he needed, and when stuck in the past realm, they were among the things he missed most. Luckily for him, the months he spent in the past realm, help prepare him for living off of the wilderness if needed. But the upside to this was at least he still had Izumi.

As she had gotten closer she had gotten to see that there was indeed something in the center, especially when it opened it's mouth and there was this violet colored glow. These hunters on the edge poked out from their crouched positions and loaded their bows and fired there arrows, but as the arrows shot towards what was in the middle, there erupted an explosion of purple fire that completely obliterated the arrows that fired off at this creature. Izumi bursted into a full blown run and from behind she jumped as high as she could and did a flying kick to the back of the head to one of the hunters. Rage filling her as her heel connected to the back of one of the hunters head, this Definetly caught the attention of the other hunters that were there and they drew weapons as they backed away from Izumi.

Looking ahead, Jyn would get the indication that there was some ruckus up ahead, though he would not know exactly what was going on from his vantage point. It wasn’t until Izumi had done the flying kick and everyone seemed to be squaring off that Jyn would arrive onto the scene and pause, coming to a halt out of his run, breathing slightly hard as he looked around and assessed the situation. His eye twitches for a moment as he realized that Izumi attacked these people without even attempting to hold a conversation; the situation seemed like it could turn out to be not so good. Holding his palms up in a non aggressive manner, Jyn would speak, “hold on… we I think there’s a misunderstanding here. That woman is that dragon’s mother and I think she thought you guys were trying to harm it. We’re relic ancestors new to this land, so please lower your weapons…” The run there had already given him the information on his own body that he didn’t have the stamina that he used to have, which was odd and annoying since he had spent much of his time before the war in training and conditioning his body. He hadn’t actually fought since waking up, but he didn’t notice that his aim was rather poor when she fired thrice in the house. He had been trying to make a triangle just out of boredom in the middle of shooting the gun, but no one who witnessed the shots would have been able to tell the shape his bullets made were anything close to what he had been thinking in his head. He didn’t want to try his luck if he didn’t have to.

The hunters just looked confused for a second at what Jyn stared about Izumi being the dragon's mother and that they were relic ancestors. Though that wasn't on the top of their minds, they were looking between izumi and the dragon pondering about how she could have given birth. They began to whisper to one another while keeping their eyes upon Jyn and Izumi so they stood next to each other standing side by side. Izumi was angry because she did assume that they were attempting to harm her 'child'. The center hunter narrowed his eyes. "If she is the mother of the beast, the beast must be destroyed." Another hunter interjected as he fixed his grip upon his sword. "And the beasts mother. Dragon's are dangerous and their mothers are even worse. We don't want any harm coming to our land so we will destroy them." Izumi stepped on the back of the hunter she kicked and kept him to the ground. She only listened as she stared with a 'i'm going to kill you' look on her face. Jyn had came over trying to make an attempt at solving this problem only seemed to make it worse.

From their initial stares, Jyn could tell that his word weren’t very effective. He was almost concerned for a moment if these people actually spoke the same language as him, seeing as he had already ran across those who were unable to read. He could tell that things were about to get frustrating. Under general circumstances he was against extinguishing human life; all his life his fight had been against demons and spirits. This didn’t seem like back in the city where one would have to defend themselves from Yakuza members or something like this; as he knew the hunters could very well be good people who were just ignorant. Though he didn’t like ignorance he didn’t think it was a good reason to kill someone.

Thus, Jyn would be in a situation where Izumi and the dragon would be in trouble due to his woman not being able to control and keep an eye on ‘her child.’ Of course, harm was something he didn’t want to bring to those two. Aside from that, Izumi looked like she was ready for a fight, which was something Jyn was against. Looking to Izumi, Jyn would communicate his feelings in, “these people don’t know any better; I’m against killing or hurting them for this reason. I can hold them at bay with my guns if you can get Rhapsody and you both flee from here. I can catch up with you in a moment.”

Did Jyn really think that Izumi would just leave him behind like that? She was overprotective of the ones she loved and she wouldn't leave them behind lest she was forced against her will. Her glared shifted to Jyn and her glare went from a 'you did not just try to shoot my child' to a 'boy you are crazy if you think i'm leaving you behind'. She would fight alongside Jyn while protecting Rhapsody. Meanwhile in the middle of the pit that purple flame pulled back in and surrounded Rhapsody in a sphere and closed up like an egg. One began to charge lifting a meat slicing cleaver high in the air to go for a straight downward hack at Jyn who was closer to them.

So, as things turned out, Jyn would be presented in the situation that he originally wanted to avoid. Izumi didn’t want to leave him here to handle things, but still she didn’t want to leave the area and drop things. On top of that, the hunters didn’t seem to want to let them leave, which would add another layer of frustration to the ordeal. Now under attack by a man with a bladed weapon, Jyn would be forced to defend himself while at the same time resisting the urge to simply shooting the man to death or incapacitation before the assailant was able to reach him. Instead of taking that route, Jyn would take a step back as he holds his palm up. The black earring on his right ear would sparkle and turn liquid, forming into a large riot shield in front of him, cutting off the man’s access to him. From there, Jyn would step forward and slam his foot into the shield to use it to bash into the rushing man in order to push him back. After being kicked, the shield would form back into liquid darkness and return to his ear where it had been as he sets his stance and gains awareness of his surroundings. He would speak, “we don’t’ know if there are more of them around this area; this number may be hard to deal with without the use of your abilities” referencing Izumi with his speaking.

That manifestation of the shield had surprised the hunters and scared them all at once. "M-m-magic?! oh crap..." stated the hunter that had gotten hit and quickly scrambled to his feet and moved away from Jyn. The other hunters moved back some as well and looked amongst each other. "Lets' get out of here quick!" and from there they ran away. While they were hunters they weren't stupid that they would fight up against someone they thought had magic. Izumi watched this whole scene play out and only blinked as they ran. She looked down at the last hunter that was passed out on the ground from her kick and blinked. "Well that's over..." she stated as she stripped that hunter of his weapons, a bow and a quiver with arrows and a meat cleaver. She had calmed down quickly once they hunters had ran away. Looking to Jyn. "My this just makes you look much more macho, scaring them off with just one move." she smirked at him wanting to ignore his earlier comment about dealing with the hunters without her 'abilities'.

After defending himself, Jyn would pause and be caught off guard by the reaction he got. “Are you shitting me,” he stands up straight with his right eye twitching slightly at the fact that the hunters who were so ready to give him a hard time would run away now. Either way, it was for the best this way. “I’ll have to keep that in mind,” he murmurs to himself that the inhabitants would be scared off by offensive magic. Hearing Izumi’s words, Jyn would nod and speak, “thank goodness… it looks like you’ve calmed down as well.” A teasing grin would be on his face as he wouldn’t say anything about it but would be thinking about Izumi’s motherly rage. As her words come in, Jyn would say in his flat semi joking voice, “well, you know, I’ve been working out lately…” With that, he would look to Rhapsody and make sure everything was okay with him… rather her. Flames, that’s right. Upon looking in the creature’s direction, Jyn would notice that it had been wrapped up in a shield or an egg… or something. Pointing towards it to draw attention to the creature, Jyn would ask, “Does she normally do that…” He figured that Rhapsody had already been hatched, so going back into an egg seemed to be an odd ability. Still, he would stay where he was for the moment, not really moving closer to it. He didn’t really get a good look at the dragon, so he assumed it was indeed Rhapsody that they had found.

Izumi would giggle as Jyn played upon what she said and mentioned that he has been working out. The mood had instantly lightened then until the attention was pushed towards where this egg made from a blaze of fire came from. Izumi looked over and arched a brow. "I don't know, I never seen that happen before." Izumi walked closer to Jyn but faced in the direction of where the egg was. She was quite concerned. As they were watching it though this 'egg' began to twitch. Izumi took a step foreword. "Rhapsody?" The egg began to twitch more and then a crack began to form upon it. "she's hatching?"

Jyn would find it a bit unsettling that this had never happened before. The dragon had been running them around for much of the day since it had vanished a while back when they thought they had found it the first time. It would be bad if they had gone through this trouble of finding Rhapsody and it suddenly become seal by nature or something the hunters did. Jyn did know that the sacred hunters of his time had ways of sealing demons in stones and such; he thought at first something like this may prove to be similar to that. When Izumi speaks, he would just nod and look to the egg thing to see what would happen. After a moment or two, it becomes obvious that the creature was not being sealed; rather ti seemed to be, as Izumi put it, hatching. The fact that it had already hatched once before led Jyn to believe that this second hatching was the queue to something special. In his day he had seen enough early morning cartoons to realize that their Pokémon might be evolving. “Heh,” he would murmur lightly as he looks over to the egg to see what would come out of it. Jyn would stand with his hands in his pocket as Izumi takes a step forward. He warns in a flat tone, “it might be dangerous to get to close to it... you might want to wait until it's done cracking.

She didn't move any further as Jyn did make a point. That it was indeed dangerous to get any further without even knowing what's going on. Izumi nodded her head and brought her right hand to her chest as she clenched it into a fist. It bothered her that she couldn't do anything but just stand there and watch. The crack grew more and small holes were created before suddenly white wings spurted out from the holes and stretched out. Nothing but wings of white came into view and soon the shell began to break off more and more. The size was far bigger than what Rhapsody use to be. More and more detail of the dragon came into view Rhapsody came out much bigger than it was before. the dragon was white from head to tail. From the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail stretched out to 9ft, though standing on all fours stretched too 8ft. The wing span stretched out completely to 10ft. Three horns upon it's head one on either side of the head and one right in the center, the center horn had a gem embedded within it that was purple in color and held a very soft glow. They eyes were still as black as the night sky. Izumi stared rather shocked by the dragon's new appearance.

Jyn would remain back; generally his hands would be in the pockets of his coat as he watched in a relaxed manner; the only issue here was that he woke up nude without his favorite coat. The inclination to do such a pattered behavior mentally coaxed for him to find something much like he used to have back in the world that was worth living in. As the current topic of attention, he would be focused on what was going on with the egg and whatnot, not really sure if he should be ready to defend or not. In many a Saturday morning cartoon, when a creature went from cute to evolved state, there was a half and half chance that it would be deranged. But of course, those things only occurred in cartoons… probably. The white wings were new as they looked larger than before. When the dragon did finally bust out of its egg, Jyn would be a bit caught off guard by what it had turned into. Thinking it over, he figured dragon’s must have a pretty rapid growth rate given the size of the one’s he’s seen before, thus it would make sense that Rhapsody would be reaching that age and size soon. Not really saying anything, Jyn would be happy that the dragon was, at least assumedly, on their side. Seeing that Izumi was in awe of the dragon’s appearance, Jyn speaks, “you should probably communicate with it to make sure Rhapsody is the same as when he was smaller. Having undergone a transformation, the beast could probably use some positive reinforcement from its mother figure as she might be confused about the changes of her own body.”

Izumi shifted her glance to Jyn who had spoke to her and she nodded her head. He was right she had to make sure that it was Rhapsody. "Rhapsody, it's mommy." the dragon would look right at Izumi and it's mouth opened but then closed again. It's wing's folding up and her head tilting as a voice just echoed from the dragon. "I know that it's Mommy. I never forgotten." this suddenly plesant look in the dragon's eyes appeared as it walked over to Izumi. Izumi's eyes widened as she heard the voice, Rhapsody never spoke before so this surprised her. Rhapsody stopped just a few inches from Izumi, at least her face did. Izumi slowly lifted her hand to touch the cheek of Rhapsody as her eyes had watered. "Oh sweety." Izumi said caressing the dragon's cheek. Rhapsody had suddenly giggled as she spoke again. "I may be growing up, but I never forgotten my mother and I didn't forget him either." Rhapsody's eyes shifted over to Jyn at the moment and just simply stared.

While this goes on, Jyn watches. Though he watches, he would be thinking about several other things at the moment; one of which was refreshing Moonbucks Coffee. It hurt his soul to some extent that he might not ever taste the sweet and tender caress of morning time caffeine in black liquid gold form. He wondered if he would go through some type of withdrawal; he had tried to stop drinking coffee once before but that didn’t… WHAT THE FUCK DID THE DRAGON JUST TALK? Jyn’s brows furrow as he seems very concerned that something new and odd had just occurred. From what he had been able to understand, it seemed as if Rhapsody had just communicated with them in their language. So aside from transforming, it gained the ability to speak; that was a hell of an upgrade. Jyn remembered before how he was able to communicate with the creature, it was generally through fire balls, grunts and squeaks, but now… this made things a lot easier. Jyn stands by the Kodak moment as Izumi and Rhapsody reunite after waking up. A small frown and a lowering of brows come when Jyn finds himself referred to as ‘him.’ The stare might have been awkward, but Jyn was a socially awkward guy, so he would simply lift a hand and say, “hello…” After a moment, he cleared his throat, looks to the side and spoke, “I… I suppose you can call me papa…” Though serious on the outside, he wasn’t 100% serious on the inside, but besides, if Izumi was the mommy, of course Jyn would have to be the daddy, right?

Izumi had giggled as this was quite the surprise for her and for Jyn. She held a light blush and kept caressing the cheek of Rhapsody and then looked over at Jyn seeing at how he said hello and stated that he could be called papa. Rhapsody looked at Jyn and her eyes narrowed and she turned her head over to Jyn and huffed purple smoke at him. "Not just yet." Izumi only gave a nervous smile as she had just sighed. "Oh Rhapsody..." to which Rhapsody looked at Izumi and nuzzled her head into Izumi's chest. "In due time...but let us be off before more come." Rhapsody stepped back some and lowered her body. "Climb onto my back and hold on." Izumi would blink and look at Jyn first and then back to Rhapsody before she nodded her head. "Okay." and Izumi would climb upon Rhapsody's back and then look to Jyn.

“Hmmm…” would emit from Jyn as he sees that he had misspoken; ‘too soon?’ Looking to Izumi, he would remember that the women of his life often had odd baggage. Having a drop dead gorgeous woman was one thing, but her having a temperamental dragon and a weird skin condition where she turned into an odd looking creature with snakes for hair was something completely different. On that note, he did notice that Izumi hadn’t taken on that form since reawakening. He wondered if that had something to do with her loss of magical powers, and if so, it might be a blessing in disguise. Returning to the present and what was going on, Jyn realized that not only did the dragon talk, but it was calling the shots as well. As an objective oriented person, he wanted to have a defined destination in mind before heading anywhere, but since he was outnumbered here between the mother and dragon, he figured it probably wouldn’t be good to stall, especially if someone else who was insane enough to attack a dragon and two magic users were to pop up. Jyn would watch as Izumi climbed up and onto the dragon’s back before they both seemed to look towards him. For a moment he wouldn’t get it, but after that moment, he would realize that they wanted him to get on Rhapsody’s back too. In his mind, he thought, ‘I’m good’ but even though not really wanting to experience this, he would proceed towards the dragon and then pull himself into mounting the creature. He never really liked roller coasters as a kid and only liked driving fast because he was the one in charge; now on Rhapsody, he was far from comfortable.

As Jyn got onto Rhapsody's back, she waited for Jyn to get settled before the wing's spreaded out and began to take strong flaps. Izumi wrapped her arms around Jyn's waist and pressed herself against him. Rhapsody then jumped up and began to flap her wings more and up she went breaking through the tree tops and entering into the sky quite quickly. Rising higher and higher and the higher that Rhapsody went the more of the city Izumi and Jyn were able to city. All the changes and destruction that was there. Rhapsody would then ask. "Let's head west." she stated letting them know which direction they were going to head, unless they had an idea of where to go. Izumi held onto Jyn and asked him. "Is west fine?

There wasn’t much getting settled but more or less getting comfortable enough that he would be in a position where dying wouldn’t be ‘that bad.’ He was not looking forward to riding the dragon coaster at all. As he got into position, he started to think about various things, such as the fact that Rhapsody had just now transformed, meaning she had undergone a huge change in her body’s natural make up. She had gained a decent amount of mass and also changed shape, so this would actually be her first time flying with the new mass added onto her frame. On top of that, the difficulty level would be raised given the fact that she would be taking on the combined weight of Izumi and Jyn. The experimental portion in this made Jyn all the more uncomfortable, but he was a cautious person by nature who tended to stick to things he knew. Soon, though, Jyn is relaxed a small amount by the feel of large breasts against his back. In a world of chaos and discomfort, those were the things that could bring balance to everything; the meaning of the world was encased in Izumi’s chest. Right after that, however, Jyn’s stomach seems to drop as the dragon leaps up and enters into the sky. Gritting and keeping his head down, Jyn would endure the ascension into the sky. It was a very unnatural feeling for a human who had never been able to fly.

Jyn started to be able to stand it enough to open his eyes and look to the side as the dragon flew against the air. The winds whipping against him and the sight of the ground were still very scary things to attempt to deal with, but Jyn would hold his composure as best as possible. His eyes would come upon the city that had been laid to waste, finally gaining a full ‘bird’s eye view’ of it. There was a twinge of sorrow in his heart as he looked upon his former home. When the question of direction came, Jyn would speak back, “that’s fine? Is that where your clan manor is?”

Izumi would take a moment and look around rather surprised to how the rest of the city from what she was able to see was in such a destroyed state. No wonder there was no power with the state that this city looked to be in, it would be a miracle if there was any power left. She heard what Jyn said and Izumi looked around a moment just to make sure and she nodded. "Yes, it's due west of here." Though the woods did look like it had grown more. Izumi spoke out to Rhapsody. "To the Hiramoto family grounds." Rhapsody looked back at them and nodded her head. "Very well. Hold on tight." and with that another beat of Rhapsody's new wings took them up a bit higher but also in the direction they needed to head, west. and soaring through the sky they went. Passing through what would have been a long walk.
