Akasha's Gratitude: Prologue

The Coastal region of Mare Maris...or to be specific, the grand City of Inanis. Akasha was within in the village, though not as an intruder, but as a residence. She could be found at the hospital waiting by the door, looking up at the bright blue skies. There was something on her mind, something spoken to her back in the past by an Individual that she loved. It was a request actually, and she made a promise to complete that request. This was the place, though finding the place was the easy part. She was going to complete the promise, but for the meantime she was going to enjoy herself in what would become her new home. How a place like this would become a home for an Onikonjou like herself would throw people for a little loop, but it began in this town not too far from Inanis where she was currently staying. Akasha and her Sister parted ways temporarily for personal reasons, which would explain Akasha not knowing Phaedra's location, though they had parted ways while at the other village so in a sense they were still near each other, or so Akasha believed. While within the other village, two individuals known as Noah Valesti and Yuki came to the village, speaking about their homes and how it would be benefitting for them all to come.

Akasha had to see for herself, and though she didn't like the idea of following a child, she would. The shock that filled her was too much when she noticed this huge place that looked like homes to many, and streets filled with more people than she could count. No village that she had been to even compared in population density nor development...This child was not lying. What was a greater shock was that the child was the ruler to the entire thing...something she normally wouldn't believe but in this case she had no choice but to believe. Everyone that had came to Inanis was checked for weaponry of course and went through quite a long process in order to become official residence of the place. She was currently working on getting a weapons permit, though that process in itself was long so she didn't look forwards to having a weapon any time soon. For now, she would just work, which would bring her to waiting outside of the hospital. Akasha was on break, a break that would be cut short when someone rushed out looking for her." Akasha! come quick, your patient Mr.Nuenberg is bleeding out! ". Akasha turned quickly with a serious expression on her face before following the woman in and to her patient. She would then get to work, doing the second best thing she knows how to do, heal her patient. With all things considered, this kind of life style was fitting for her.

Akasha still did not possess her healing abilities, but she still performed an excellent job in stopping the bleeding out of her patient. People were impressed definitely giving that she was new to the village and so they originally believed that she was new to the medical profession as well. She had performed healing every where she traveled and so she was by no means a newbie to the profession. She was practicing ways to heal more effectively, though that required Magic, something she had not come down to master yet. Still she did just as good as anyone with Magic if not better. After Akasha prevented the bleed out, she would assist in stabilizing her patient. The same woman that had came and got her would approach her from behind and release a sigh. She wasn't happy about what she was going to ask Akasha, but knew she had too." Akasha...One of the Healers won't be coming in tonight. She's having family problems and so I am very sorry to ask this of you...but ". And before she could Ask, Akasha would bring her hand up as if telling her to halt." Don't ask. I'll do it ". Akasha said looking back to the woman who had a smile on her face." Thank you thank you! You will be paid for the Overtime Akasha ". That right there was exactly what Akasha wanted to hear.

Akasha would go from one room to another, checking out the patients she had been assigned. For the most part there was not anything too serious going on at the moment. Even in a peaceful place like Inanis, ailments roamed the body of people just like every other place in the world. There were Hereditary diseases, viruses and the works. There was one patient in particular that she would be checking up on which happened to be a young girl who had broken her leg in an accident. She was a stubborn little girl but one could also see that the stubbornness and aggression was to hide what a soft individual she was. It was because of this that Akasha felt like she could relate a bit, though Akasha's natural aggression was just that, aggression, not exactly to hide anything. Her badass behavior was kind of an attempt, but not her aggression. She would spend her time mostly in her room, sitting next to the bed even with the silence in the room. Of course every 20 minutes or so Akasha would go check up on the other patients, but for the most part she would stay in that room, and occasionally attempting to start a conversation with the girl. Despite all her attempts, the girl would remain silent for some reason. Akasha wouldn't give up though, staying by her bed for the rest of the night.

During that night, there appeared to be nothing wrong with the patients which was good. Akasha was ready if something was to go wrong, but to have a night in the hospital where nothing went wrong was a huge relief to the Onikonjou. Hours would pass and the day would come, her shift nearing an end and the patients fast asleep. The signs of the morning was always a beautiful things. Akasha would be looking out of the windows to take notice of the first sign, which was slight piercing of dark blue within the dark skies. It was barely noticeable but eventually that same dark blue that appeared at various points in the dark sky would soon appear among the horizon itself. fifteen minutes after that would be an orange coloration below the dark blue, just barely noticeable but shortly after what was once dark blue would become lighter, and so both colors would seem to fade into each other. A Beautiful sight if nothing else. Around this time. She would turn her attention to the girl and wait for her to wake up so she could check how her injury is healing up. It would be a good minute before the girl woke up so Akasha would make a travel to the other rooms on that floor to make sure the other patients was okay, and after checking them she would make a return back to the room of the little girl.

It wouldn't be long before the girl began to open her eyes, and the first thing she would see would be Akasha waiting there for her with an smirk on her face." Rise and Shine twerp ". The girl eyes widened, then narrowed before turning her head. There was a slight chuckle that would come from the Onikonjou as she then walked over to the table which had a little bottle of juice and next to it was a tiny clear cup that had different kinds of mashed herbs in it. The herbs themselves was bitter and there for the juice was needed. Akasha would bring them over to the girl and placing them near her." Sit yourself up so I can give you these herbs. They're good or stimulating the proteins of the body which helps the body regenerate from injuries ". The Girl really didn't understand anything about that, and she didn't like taking those herbs, but for some reason she couldn't find herself saying no to Akasha. Akasha would hand the juice to the girl, and as soon as Akasha placed the herbs in her mouth, she would chew and swallow them before drinking the juice. It was then that the lady from before would walk in." Alright Akasha, that's the end of your shift. Thank you very much ". Akasha would nod as she walked out of the room and recieved her payment. That would be the end of her day at the hospital, and so she would make her way to what was now her home, a large building that was actually a few homes away from The House of Noah. It would take awhile, but she would eventually make it home and enter her home. The place was quite empty because she had not been able to work enough to actually buy furniture and the sort. The emptiness was the reason why she would come to notice a notice in the middle of the floor. Mail or Notices was delivered to each of the residences daily by a few carriers that races across Inanis, and they give them to the people directly. If the individuals aren't home, then they would place it in the homes in the center of that room. Akasha would lift the notice up and read from it, and after a moment of reading from it, a smirk would appear on her face. This notice was Her Weapon Permit Approval, and with the valuables she had just gained from work, it was about damn time for her to hit up the Forge.
