The Goddess Scrolls: Prelude
Solomon's Test

Location: Crystalle
Theme:

It had been a week. A fateful week since Jonah had said he would find the fallen Kami known as Abaddon. The Destroyer, the true Dark Kami. What they had not known was that Abaddon had been here in the bowels of the realms, testing his strength. It might have been a quicker return if Jonah had known to look here. The spymaster was good. At least he had finally found him. Smart man, if one wanted to hide from heaven, you descended to hell. It had been so long since she had seen the man. Fifteen long years since his fall from grace. But she was here looking for him. The only Kami to ever express the opinion that it is not a matter of chaos or order or even good and evil. That nothing was truly black and white, but various shades of gray. The dark one was said to walk the line between heaven and hell. The line between good and evil, the line between order and chaos. Some said he fell short of either side most of the time and was a law unto himself. Seraphina was about to find out for herself, what made Abaddon think as he did.

Solomon's Test Crysta10

Abaddon was more than just an archangel. He was one of the Seraphim. The most high of those in the heavens. Not that he really cared for the most part. No one had wanted to strip him of that rank since the rest of the higher orders of angels thought that perhaps one day he would and could be used on their side. But that was just wishful thinking upon their parts. Sera traveled, by herself into one of the strangest places in hell she had ever been. A crystalline forest, almost like home. Silver and mirrored surfaces showed all around as she descended into the great forest. It would be easy to loose oneself in this place. It was so much like the crystalline forest in the higher realms that she felt the sadness pull and tug upon her heart.

Her hand reached out and touched one of the mirrored trees and listened to the hum in her heart. It was the same, but held much more darker tones. Like that of a big brass bell. So low and deep versus the lighter tones of a handbell. A series of bass undertones. If one listened properly it was like that of broken hearts and dreams. Of sin and vices, of passion. Sera had been slowly learning to look at things differently. Darkness did not necessarily mean bad or pain. One could but look at Jack. Such Passion and love they shared, but she and most others would call it a dark relationship. Fear being there, as well as trust and love. Sometimes, she even thought he hated her for being a Kami. A soft, weak Kami.

This was why she was all they way out here, searching for Abaddon. He was considered the dark Kami. He was strong, strong as a demon. And he would be an asset to her plans. Slowly Sera was starting to turn to the dark side of things. Slowly she was turning into a being of neither order or chaos. So Abaddon was the perfect person to talk with. Her hand moved from the low tone of the mirrored tree and as her fingers slide off the polished surface, Her red eyes glanced up. In the mirrored landscape around her, she could view a figure in a white robe. his hood down, and swords strapped to his hip. He stood with his arms crossed over his chest. White wings spread behind them, speckled in blood. His hood was so low, one couldn't even see his eyes.

Sera almost jumped as she startled. Stepping down into the mirrored clearing, the soft light of something further in reflecting off the mirrors. It was hard to tell exactly where the dark Kami stood. His deep, rich baritone echoed through the forest of crystals, making it seem to come from everywhere at once. "What do you want, little girl?" His wings ruffled as he took a step forward and she turned around trying to figure out which way he was coming from. Her answer came out a tiny bit higher pitched than she wanted it and she cringed at the sound of her own voice, "Abaddon, Seraphim of" His wigs rustled as he stepped forward and she whirled, Sera almost bumped into him. his deep voice interrupted her own, "Do not, use such flowery words, girl. I am no Seraphim. Call me what I am."

"Abaddon, the Fallen." His hand reached out and grasped her by the clothes, lifting her up as she whispered it softly. His laughter resounded off the mirrors. "Yes, girl. The Fallen." He set her back down and took a few steps back. For that brief moment of being held up, she had glimpsed under the hood. His eyes were red. Something she thought only ran to her own set of red orbs. No wonder he kept his hood down. His were more menacing looking. His voice came back to her and she jumped like a doe in front of the hunter."As I said, What do you want, girl?"

She stuttered and tried again, knowing that the angel would have already killed her if he judged her unworthy, or impure, which caused her to wonder at his senses. "I want to speak with you."
"What could you want to speak to me about, little Seraphina?"
"About why you fell?"
"And why would I share this with you?"
Sera took a deep breath and hoped this would work. The dark Kami had begun to pace back and forth. "Because, like you, I too have fallen" There was a rich dark laughter from the Kami as he stopped pacing.
"That is rich. Perfect Seraphina, fell. I will tell you if you tell me." His laughter continued.

The Goddess Scrolls: Prelude
Solomon's Test

Location: Crystalle
Theme:

In all her travels in heaven, earth, and hell. If there was one thing that had been made perfectly clear, was the fact that nothing came without a price. Nothing in these worlds and realms was ever free. So the price to pay for insight was her own story. A story that she was reluctant to share since it would give voice to her failure at being a Kami. Her imperfections. But had she not already been broken by Jack. Her pride taken, her perfection taken. Unconsciously she rubbed her arm. The long black gloves covered the imperfection that Jack had caused. Her payment for for her crimes against him. She almost started crying again. Almost, but she resisted. Her imperfection still hurt, it hurt her pride.

Seraphina had always been a stuck up and rather self conscious. So the scar that he purposefully left caused so much mental anguish. Jack thought she had gotten over it, but she still flinched and cringed whenever she thought about the torture she had to endure. It was harsh, this realm and she was left with a mar to her perfect body. It hurt. And she rubbed it unconsciously as she thought about how to tell this story. From the beginning would be the best place to start since that is where all stories started. The beginning.

Her came out in a soft whisper as the Seraphim drew closer to her to listen to the tale. Underneath his hood, it was hard to judge what this being was thinking. The hood hid his face and thus it just looked like he was standing there staring at her. It creeped her out a little bit but she continued on. "Noah and I.." His voice interrupted her within the first few words, "Noah, the little shit responsible for the crack in the temple bell?"
"Yes him. Noah and I fell in love, but at the time he was in the form of him that was older. He called himself Gabriel. We were on a date and we had come down here. Something happened, that part is still a little fuzzy. But I ended up getting separated from him and that is where Jack comes into my story. Jack..." Again Abaddon interrupted me for more information.
"The Arch Demon of the Pride clan."
"Yes, that's right. He captured me, looking for someone on Terra, thinking that all of us Kamis knew the whereabouts of half demons. So he tortured me for the information that I didn't have. He gave me his blood in a test of sorts, after taking mine. It was rather.." she coughed and turned as red as the color of blood and looked down at her hand, still rubbing the scar. Abaddon's laughter rang through the crystals asnd she looked up at him. The warm rich tones echoing in this place. He spoke as his hooded head shook from side to side.
"So you had sex with the Demon lord of Pride. How grand is this. I bet he took your virginity. Was it fun?"
The blush only grew brighter as she continued to stare at the spot on her forearm where the scar rested under her long black gloves. Her silence was answer enough and he began to laugh again.
"Little Seraphina. You did not fall for that. You fell for something else. What else did he do to you? Hmm. The demonic blood that resides in your blood is not enough. That can be purged."

She looked up at him startled. She had not known that she could be purged and saved. Plus she had thought she had fallen because of her affair with Jack and his blood in her veins. So why had she fallen? The question must have been in her eyes, because his voice came back from under that hood. "A Kami does not fall for those reasons alone, but for their way of thinking. He made you see a different way. Do you love him?"
"Yes I do, but what do you mean.."
"You are here to see me, which means you have questions. I will let you in on a little secret. I am not the only one who walks the bath of both chaos and order from the realms above. Death himself does, Michael had walked this bath. What makes a Kami strong is their ability to embrace chaos and still come out on top. I do not try to bring order, but balance. Your spells of light, are judgment spels. Are they not? they bring pain and destruction down upon those judged to be unworthy. Chaos in the midst of order, darkness in the light. The Fallen have long since figured out that there is no darkness without light, no Order without chaos. No heaven without hell. If one ceased to exist then so would the other. Look at the earth. Terra. So much evil and much good. Do you think Noah, as an archangel knows this, no. He is not as strong. The Fallen are the true contestants against the Lords of Hell. We are stronger because we be understand something they do not, in their own foolishness. We understand Balance of the powers. It is why the humans exist no matter what happens regarding us."

Sera watched him for a moment with a bit of fear. He was stalking around the place his hands fisted. His voice gave him away as being so hot on this subject. But as she listened to his impassioned speech, she knew he was telling the truth. He was right. "Yes, Abaddon, I have truly fallen then. I began to see the darkness, the chaos and the way it could be used to instill order. But no from what you have said. I see that life is all about balancing. Water and Fire, Wind and Earth. They all work together."
"Exactly, little Seraphina. Look to Terra. So why have you come"
"For this reason. To speak with you. I wanted to understand how to become stronger than the demons. How to be worshiped has a goddess among them. I wanted to find away for them to understand the power that I can wield. And I wanted to be a strong Queen for Jack."
"It will not be easy" Abaddon reached into his robe and pulled out a scroll, showing it to her. "This details the path to what you ask. In order to be viewed so powerful as to be worshiped as a Goddess among these strong beings. You need to defeat the Lords of Hell. This scroll describes the path to doing just such. In fact it was my plan to follow that path. If you want the scroll little angel. You will have to fight me for it. Since only one person may possess the scroll of Solomon. Defeat me and I will tell you all you need to know about this, and give you the scroll. IF you lose, you may not survive" His deep chuckle resounded around the area as she took a step back. This had not turned out exactly how she had planned. "Well, little Seraphina?"
In answer she drew her swords and glared at him. His rich laughter resounded once more as the sound of metal sliding from its sheath came free. The scroll disappeared back into the robe as both of his hands went around the hilt of the large sword now in his hands. She was going to have to fight and win against a Seraphim. One of the strongest of Kamis. It was not a thrilling thought.
