Demon Hunt: The Chase Empty
PostSubject: Demon Hunt: The Chase   Demon Hunt: The Chase EmptyMon Oct 24, 2011 8:27 am

They were off from the tavern. Kitsume was keeping track of the Demon's scent but it was soon very clear, the Demon known as Malathorn was fast and very tricky. From behind the tavern the scent trail took them to a house not far from the tavern. Town guards were surrounding the house as Kitsume and the group came upon it. Like a blood hound, she kept sniffing the air and circling the area, allowing Belmont to work his magic and rank to question the guards. Stopping, Kitsume scratched her head and a soft curse was expelled from her mouth as she she looked. A quick, and agile movement had her climbing up on the top of the one story house. Once perched there, she sniffed the air again as if searching for the scent trail.

There were four guards at the house, two outside and two inside. One of the two outside, a older veteran was heaving the contents of his stomach into the nearby bushes. The younger of the two was looking a little green around the gills and holding his stomach. Looking to Belmont and Hunter he challenged weakly, "Halt...who goes..." Then he turned and heaved into the nearby bushes as well. After he finished and pulled out a piece of cloth to wipe his mouth, he continued with a weak expression. "There...?" The older man finally was able to stumble back to his post near the door.

As Katsume left the tavern, Hunter gives a light sigh and grabs what's left of his steak and begins to follow after her as he takes a bite of the meat. Given the line of work he partook in traveling and eating was no stranger to the human and he showed it as he followed after the two while enjoying the part of his meal he had taken with him. As he followed he watched Katsume as she shown off her skills as a hunter by following after her prey by smell alone. Mentally Hunter took notes of Katsume as she went along tracking her prey. As he followed and observed Katsume, Hunter took bite after bite of his steak, enjoying it, though as they came upon the house Hunter shifts his gaze, glancing around for a moment before he turns his attention to the guards as one of them stands hurling into a bush and another begins to speak before doing the same. Unfortunately the effect of the two blowing chunks caused Hunter to lose his appetite for the moment, which causes the male to let out a soft sigh as he glances to Belmont, expecting the large man to do the talking since he seemed to be the talker.

They had moved quite quickly from the tavern, Belmont had some reservations about hunting whilst under the influence of alcohol. He hadn’t had that much but it was still enough that if it came down to a battle situation that it might just impair his judgement just for that brief moment required to give the spirit an advantage, he would need to chastise himself later on for it. They had come to what appeared to be a scene of a crime, and Kitsume appeared to be leaving the talking to him on this one, their new companion, Hunter. Belmont didn’t quite trust yet. He had been hesitant when it came to hearing about how Belmont would kill the tainted. It was not as if such a thing came at a pleasure to him. These were people men and women that could be furthering the cause of humanity as opposed to the causes of the demons and spirits Simply put the man wasn’t cut of the same cloth as he and the girl. And that made his presence here dangerous. Belmont knew that this man had a thing against demons by the way he had reacted when he first met. He could also tell that he was prone to emotional outbursts simply by the lack of reason that he showed. He also seemed to have a weakness for a pretty face

ultimately if it came down to it and Belmont needed to kill a tainted person in this area then he knew that hunter was probably going to interfere. And that meant that he was going to have to kill the boy. And that wasn’t going to be something he would relish. If possible he’d have Kitsume take him away. But that he thought would probably more difficult than it sounded. Kitsume had damaged hunters trust with her move before and the man probably wasn’t stupid enough that he could not figure out what was going on.

Approaching the first of the guards Belmont drew up, sizing up the man. The Remnant uniform ID’d him properly as one with authority to be there. Kitsume and Hunter were however ambiguous in this due to their own sense of fashion.

“ I am Belmont of the Remnants, my associates and I are hunting a spirit. We may have trailed him to this area, can you give us information on what you have uncovered here?”

He purposefully said associates. It would make the guard assume that they were all Remnants even without the uniform.

Demon Hunt: The Chase Empty
PostSubject: Re: Demon Hunt: The Chase   Demon Hunt: The Chase EmptyWed Oct 26, 2011 7:27 pm

"You're Belmont? There's a message in there for you" The younger one glanced at the Belmont with a look of relief although his hand blocked the Remnant commander from entering. "You really don't wanna go in there, Sir. It's not for the weak stomach. You aren't gonna like it, sir" That was when the young soldier removed his hand and arm to allow the two of them to pass. Kitsume was still on the roof of the building trying to catch the trail of the demon while they were talking to the guards.

Upon entering the house the smell of bowels and their contents would hit the people entering. After that the smell of blood and burned flesh filled the air. There were two soldiers in there trying their best not to wretch on the scene of the crime. Intestines of varying sizes were decorating the walls, hung up like garland at a party. A few vital organs had been blown up and tied to strings like balloons. Blood washed the floor and painted the walls with hand prints and little baby foot prints. There was no bodies, only parts here and there, bones, a ribcage roasting over the fire in the fireplace, and five heads on plates on the table. Scribed on the wall in blood was another message,

Belmont,

If that is your true name. You are strong as a bull, but just as hard headed.
Pitiful Human. But I digress as I digest. This is the fifth slaughter of mine.
Can you find the other four before I've had time to stalk and kill my next prey.
I killed them all, even the baby for the younger the more tender. The woman
I used, you should know, I had her scream your name while I used her body
ad stole her life.

Malathorn

Hunter reamins silent while Belmont does the talking with the guard at the door since he had the power to get into the house to see what had happened. When the soldier removed his arm Hunter would wait on Belmont to go into the house first before he would follow after the male and as he made his way into the house his sense of smell is assaulted by the sell of blood and bruned flesh, if it where animal he wouldn't have a problem with it though this was that of humans so Hunter could feel his stomach growing uneash as he begins to shift his gaze and look around at the carnage that surrounded him in the house. What small bit of apitite that remained with the male now drained away as he cought sigh of what this demon had done to these people. Hunter would remain not to far from Belmont since he didn't want to mess anything up nor did he know what exactly to do here... There was so much death, not even the child had been spared. All the death around him only helped to strengthen Hunter's hatred for demon's as they where only beings that casued pain and suffering in his eyes, beings that should be eradicated.

The moment he heard there was a message for him, Belmont began to think. If he knew his name, if he knew his connection to Kitsume then it meant that he and the Remnants were at a severe disadvantage when hunting. It meant that this creature had likely been following them for some time now. Had likely been spying on them for some time now. The dead man gritted his teeth. Steeled his resolve and walked in..There was blood everywhere and had Belmont been not of strong stomach and used to such sights, then likely he would have been emptying those contents as well. The unfortunate thing was that one of the reasons that Belmont was used to such gore was that not only was he used to the sights of slaughter caused by spirits but the sights of slaughter that were used by the Remnants themselves as methods of deterrent.

There were great horrors, but Belmont was more interested in the blood message written to him on the wall. He blocked out everything else and solely focused upon that. Reading it, it seemed to be a bit of a challenge. Despite this demons writing and endeavours Belmont knew that it was one of those demons who wouldn’t be living for a particularly long time. Most demons like this were like infernos. Raged fast and hard, but burned themselves out quickly. The most successful powerful and older demons were far more subtle. They used minions. They sent the lesser forces to do the dirty work. And most of the time, one would hardly know that they existed at all. But this Malthorn didn’t seem to be one of those higher spirits. He was one that was going to need to be wiped off the map.

Belmont activated his grave senses, if the demon had been here recently he would be able to get a hold on his next direction, if not then it was going o require a bit more investigation.

At the same time Belmont's Grave senses were allowing him to track the signature of the demon, so was Kitsume's sense of smell. That had to mean that the demon was wanting them to track him. Perhaps it could be a trap. It was all possible. The trail of the demon was leading out of the back door of the house for Belmont and for Kitsume across the rooftops. She called out to the Belmont from the roof of the single story house. "Commander Belmont. I have the trail again. It's going towards the city gates." For Belmont it was as if it was going deeper into the city.

Perhaps this was the ruse of the demon to split them up. But Kitsume soon jumped down in front of the back door and looked through the open doorway. As she stepped into the house, she showed no emotion once so ever for the decorations that the demon had left. In fact, her sense of humor kicked in and she smirked that quirky little smile, that Belmont would know but Hunter could view as a little on the sadistic side. "His sense of fashion and decor went out last season. Those streamers were so last year." She ever placed her hand on her hip and cocked the look of a fashion expert trying to find something good with world at large. "But I will say that painting of the footprints is rather amazingly droll. I hope he's not trying to start a fade with his outdated sense of style."

She glanced to Belmont as she waited for his orders.

Holding his silence and his stomach Hunter continues to shift his gaze as he takes in the sight of carnage around him. " This isn't right... " Hunter murmurs lightly as he shifts his gaze while looking around, " The demon that did this deserves a much worse fate then what he has bestowed upon these poor people. " he adds as he shifts his attention and glances to Belmont for a brief moment, " I would like to accompany you on your hunt for the demon that did this. " Hunter says as he looks at Belmont. Though the people that had been killed where no kin of him nor friends Hunter still felt a burning desire for revenge on there behalf, perhaps to put there souls at rest in the afterlife. As he heard Kitsume speak up, Hunter glances towards her for a brief moment before shifting his gaze away. It seemed as if she had caught onto the demons trail which should lead them to where he has gone. Hunter keeps his attention off the female for only a brief moment before he looks back to her as she enters into the house now. As he looked to her he noticed a smirk on her face as she looked around at what the demon had done to these people. Hunter keeps his gaze on her for a brief moment longer as she begins to speak and while he listens he shifts his gaze away from her as she seems to joke about what has happened here, taking it more in gest then seriously. The way Katsumi seemed to react to what had happened in the house brought anger to Hunter and it showed on his face as if shifted into a light frown though he held his silence once again as he shifts his attention from her, trying to remain focused on his desire to kill the demon rather then what she is saying.
