Prologue II Empty
PostSubject: Prologue II   Prologue II EmptySun May 22, 2011 9:20 pm

I had spent nearly two weeks recovering until I was at full strength. Each of these days was, in itself, a pain in my ass. There was little to do other than rest and recover. The man who had saved me had given me a simple, straight forward objective: work. If I couldn’t show progress within a certain amount of time he would not take me as his student. The thought of that rather irritated me. I knew I had what it took to be his student and nothing would stand in my way.
flashback..
“watch carefully.”
The man simply lifted his arm before thrusting it forward. What I thought would be a simple punch was something that would have shaken the foundational beliefs of any normal being. I had kept my eyes focused and didn’t miss a single bit of it. What did I see? The end of his hand sizzled with electricity, and the large plate of stone he had punched was broken into pieces. I sat there, staring at what I thought was a near impossible feat. The problem was that it was possible, and he was about to open a completely new world, were I to prove myself and become his student.
“to do this you have to visualize your own body’s internal energy as a power source. Right now with your injuries, your internal energy is muddy and unrefined. To fix that, you have to press a lot of it through filters, and purify it. With just a little bit of that highly refined energy you can do that, and more. If you want to become my student, prove that you can understand that basic concept.”

I could see him in my head, and I knew exactly what the problem was. That tea pot he had brought me I had overlooked .While I had been asleep one night, a stone slab had been delivered to my room. How they managed to get it in there without waking me up was far beyond my understanding as well. All I could do is attempt to recreate what I had seen. Several punches later and all I would be left with is a rather painful burning sensation in my fist, and no result that was even close to what I had seen. I would continue this process of intentional pain for several days before his assistant, the lady who cared for me after the incident, chimed in.
“try the visualization training..”
I had never done it before and really had no idea what to do. Hours would be spent in front of that stupid tea pot while trying to visualize it. The problem though was that it was being visualized outside of my body, and not inside. This also meant that it really wasn’t doing me a bit of damn good. Closing my eyes in frustration, I would force myself to be calm, and relax for a few moments before trying to get a feeling of internal energy and how it flowed around me. There were so many things inside that were still in pain that I knew I probably shouldn’t be doing any of this at all. Finally, I caught sight of my first step in progress. There was a bit of a tingling feeling in the right side of my chest. Taking a deep breath, I visualized that tea pot inside the center of my chest. That muddy, tingly energy would be pressed straight through that filter. It would be a slow process, and rather difficult at first.

Hours would be spent for nearly half a week just sitting in front of that tea pot, legs crossed and eyes closed, while focusing n this type of training. I had matched the feeling in the right side of my chest in the left. Standing up, my legs would spread to about shoulder width while I attempted to recreate that feeling. There it was, right inside my chest. The feeling was warm and tight. The muddy energy could be found all over my body at this point, and slowly I was learning how to move it. Opening my eyes, my body would shift and float over to the large slab. I had rammed my hand into it enough across the last two weeks to be more than happy trying something new. While there was no guarantee that this would ever work, I had to try it. My stance would be simple, with my right arm up and cocked back in the thrusting position. A slow, deep breath would be taken, allowing me time to close my eyes and visualize that ball of unrefined energy in my chest. Pressing it to the left side, I would amass it before exhaling and filtering it. The process would be made again, a slow, deep inhale before holding it, and exhaling. As the process grew quicker and quicker, the tingling in the right side of my chest slowly became more than a tingle. It became a warm fuzzy feeling that didn’t feel right. That amount of energy was not healthy for the body, and I had to dispel it as quick as possible. Pressing it down my arm, the thrust would finally occur, colliding the energy outwards across my fist. The result was something that I had never expected. The resulting force was not something I had ever expected, but was the result that I had needed.
