Unexpected Reunion

As the sun beams down upon Mare Maris providing the people of the coastal region with warming sun and a beautiful day, I slowly make my way through the streets of Mare Maris during mid day, which unfortunately means two things, that it is fucking hot because of the damned sun and that it was getting close to time to eat, a fact that my stomach seems to be an authority on, given that it is reminding me with its incessant griping as it grumbles for food. " Alright alright.. " I murmur lightly to myself, though mostly speaking to my stomach as I shift my gaze as my momentarily priority becomes finding a place where I can get something to eat and with luck get out of the sun for a few moments. Now that food has came up to the top of my to do list for the day I begin to think about what I would like to have to eat, with the best thing being a big slab of meat slightly cooked with a bit of blood still coursing through its veins. Yeah, that sounded pretty good, unfortunately as I thought about what I would like to eat my stomach began to nag more which prompted me to begin to shift my gaze as I begin to search for a place where I can grab a bite to eat, which at this point I didn't give much care as to what it was as long as it was something eatable and scrumptious nom nom.

Unexpected Reunion

The hot summer sun beams down on the stone streets of the bazaar. People from all over come to trade at the bazaar of the Mara Maris coastal region. Some are merchants of the region selling goods that have been fished out of the endless waters of the great sea. And others are from deferent regions trying to sell their wares. Then there are the thieves that take part in the taking, selling and trading of more of the questionable goods that people don't want to know or ask how they came across such items. The underworld of just a robust organization as the monarchy is a colorful place to see, but can be very hazardous to one's health.

Within the crowded streets, there is a young girl weaving through the sea of buyers and trades. Looking for a way to get her next meal. She has already picked out a few ways of doing so. One was lady with lots of finery but two really large men seems to be following her around as a bodyguards. And then there is a merchant but he is guarding his wears well and has made them hard to snatch so the odds of getting away unseen is every low. Then there is a tall man that has white hair (Yuki) with lots of pouches on him. He looks like he is fit but he seems to be off in a daze and losing him in the crowd should be easy. With a light touch there is quick jerk as a small knife cuts a pouch free and she takes off running at through the crowd with great dexterity.

Unexpected Reunion

" Gonna get me some nom noms. " Yuki repeated to himself in his mind as he slowly shifts his gaze as he searches for a place where he can get a bite to eat. In his search the half-breed finds himself entering the Mare Maris bazaar, a most interesting place filled with all sorts of merchandise and people selling said merchandise. Though he had not come here for trinkets or the other sort, Yuki thought perhaps he could find himself something to eat here on a street vender or even find a place where he could go in for a bite to eat and get out of the sun. Moving through the bazaar Yuki slowly shifts his gaze from merchant to merchant as he takes a brief moment to scan over what they have for sale. " No, don't need any of that. " He murmurs lightly to himself before shifting his gaze to another merchant stall, " Nor none of that. " He grumbles as his stomach adds to the grumbling as it demands to be fed. With the combination of the half-breed murmuring to himself, his stomach growling, and the atmosphere of the bazaar, he neglects to realize the pouch being taken from his person when the little girl cuts it free and takes off with it.

Unexpected Reunion

The little girl makes her way through the crowd till she gets to a small gap to hide in so she can look at what is inside. Opening the pouch she blinks at what is inside of it. Pulling out one of the dragon talons her eyes widens in awe at the object. It looks sharp and like it could easily be made into a nice dagger or a cutting tool. She closes the pouch and puts it away as she sticks her head out to make sure the white haired man wasn't looking for her before running off.

"Miss. You are just asking too much." The merchant folds his arms as looks at the a ray of items laid out in front of him. The sapphire eyes give him a cold look. "All I am asking for is nine blood stones. You're not going to find anything else like these here today and you'll be lucky to find an offer like this again." The merchant rubs his chin as he looks at the erratic desert items. "I can only do eight blood stones. That is all I can trade for them." I give him a nod, "Eight it is then. You drive a hard deal sir." The large number of items as traded for just a few stones that is places into a small pouch and handed to me. With the pouch in my hand I grin as I turn around.

"Sudran!" (Mother!)

Looking down at the small voice I give the little girl a smile.

"Oui rihkan?" (You hungry?)

She gives a nod as she pulls out and holds up the pouch.

"E kud drec." (I got this.)

Seeing the pouch, my hand comes up to rub the top of her head.

"Gaab ed." (Keep it.)

The girl puts the pouch back and she holds on it the hem of my skirt as we move to through the crowd to get to the tavern called 'The Singer Crab' that is down by the dockside where all the shady folks gather.

Unexpected Reunion

As he slowly shifts his gaze the half-breed lets out a soft sigh as he comes to the realization that non of the merchants had anything he wanted to eat unless he wanted to spend the time cooking it before eating it, but at the moment he was a lazy ass bastard and wanted it to be cooked for him which meant he had to go find a place where he could get a cooked meal. With a soft growl Yuki shifts his attention to one of the merchants as he speaks up, " Oi, do you know where I can get a bite to eat here? " The half-breed asks as he looks at the merchant. The merchant, hearing the half-breed as he spoke up shifts his attention to the man, giving Yuki a quick once over before he brings his hand up to his chin and rubs it lightly, " Let's see.. There's the Singer Crab down by the docks. " The man says as he thinks, " That one isn't to far away and probably the closest, then there is the Drunken Flounder it's a bit further then the crab though- " As the man begins to speak Yuki listens to him as he starts to explain where some places are that he could eat. " Where is the Singer Crab? " the half-breed asks, cutting the man off before he can continue. Before he can continue the man is cut off by the half-breed as he speaks and when he inquires about the crab the man gives a faint nod as he gives directions on how to get to the Singer Crab from the bazaar. As the man begins to explain how to get to the Singer Crab, Yuki listens to him and when he finishes with the directions the half-breed gives a faint nod before he begins moving, heading to the Singer Crab.

Unexpected Reunion

Weaving through the veins of streets that lead from the bazaar to the other parts of the walled in village. Down on the dockside, bells chime as fishing and trade ships move in and out of the wooden docks and men are shouting as they load and unload their vessels. The sun reflect off the clear blue waters. The young girl points out at one of the larger ships coming in from the vast sea with its white sails.

"Muug yd dryd." ("Look at that.")

We come to a stop just outside of The Singing Crab to watch the boats for a few moments. The strong sea breeze wash over us. Rule thirty two, enjoy the little things. I give a slight nod.

"Dra fydan muugc bnaddo. E drehg fa cruimt meja po dra fydan cu fa lyh ryja y pek puyd mega dryd." ("The water looks pretty. I think we should live by the water so we can have a big boat like that.")

A grin comes to my lips as I place my hand on the top of her head.

"Un, ed fuimt pa y hela lryhka uv drehkc. Hud ryjehk cyht eh ouin puudc un yhofrana amca dryd oui tuh'd fyhd ed." ("Un, it would be a nice change of things. Not having sand in your boots or anywhere else that you don't want it.")

The two of us laugh for a moment before I look over my shoulder at the tavern with a sign by the door that is in the shape of a crab. Leading the way inside, passing in front of a tall man with white hair. the place is dark and a little dirty looking with peanut shells on the floor next to the tables and bar. A lot of shady people are gathered in this place. Thieves, mercenary, assassin, and a few drunken fishermen. The waitresses dress in sexy maid outfits with short skirts that didn't cover their butt when they lean over and would give special treatment for those that would make a good offer for it. This wasn't the place to bring the family for sunday dinner.

Coming to a table with a passed out drunk sitting at it. He makes a nice thumb when I push him out of the chair so I can sit down.

Unexpected Reunion

Making his way down to the docks Yuki shifts his gaze for a brief moment as he glances around, shifting his gaze across the sea and the ships in the sea. After taking a brief moment to look at the sea, the half-breed shifts his attention, turning it to the tavern he had came here for, the Singer Crab. Setting his attention on the tavern Yuki begins to move for it though before he can make his way into the building he is cut off by a pink haired female and a small child that walk into the tavern, a sight that makes the half-breed pause for a brief moment before following after the two into the tavern. As he steps into the tavern Yuki shifts his gaze about the room, his gaze shifting over the patrons of the tavern, though the thing that catches his eye the most is the waitresses and there choice of dress. As he shifts his gaze over one of the waitress the half-breed quickly comes up with another thing he finds he wants to do while in Mare Maris though he knew that could wait until after he had a bite to eat.

Unexpected Reunion

A few eyes take notice of the drunk man being kicked into the floor for a few moments before they turn back to what they was doing before. It wasn't anything new for something like that to happen, although if you brake something the henchmen of the tavern owner will make sure that they brake something of your in return. Then they will strip you of all your worldly belongings, this includes clothing.

My legs cross and arms fold under my chest as we sit at the table my eyes close while we wait for waitress to come to the table. The young girl takes a seat across of my own and dumps the contents of the stolen pouch onto the table. Her eyes blink a few times as she looks at the dragon claws before picking one up.

"Fryd tu oui drehg drec drehk ec?" ("What do you think this thing is?")

My eye opens to look at the item in question. "Muugc mega y lmyf vuns y keyhd cyht mewynt du sa. Ed luimt pa fundr cusadrehk du dra nekrd bancuh." ("Looks like a claw form a giant sand lizard to me. It could be worth something to the right person.")

The young girl holds it up to into the light of the tavern as the black claw shines. The smiling waitress with her tray comes over and glances at the claw that is being held up.

"My that sure if pretty. Where did you get those at?"

"I found them while we were in the market." I big grin comes to the young girls face as she looks up at the waitress.

"We want two spicy roots with a bottle of your best spirit." My eye opens to glance at the waitress. "It better not be any of that watered down stuff that is at the bar."

A sweat bead comes down the side of her cheek as she nods before walking away with the order.

Unexpected Reunion

After shifting his gaze for a moment longer Yuki begins to move forwards as he starts to shift his gaze in search of a seat. As he shifts his gaze in search of a seat something familiar catches his eye causing him to shift his attention. Turning his attention Yuki looks to the claw being held up as someone looks at it. The claw seemed very familiar to him and as he looks at it it finally dawns on him it is one of the claws the dragon had, a claw exactly like he had.... Reaching to his side Yuki places his hand where the ouch holding his dragon bits use to be though no such pouch rested where he had last left it. Shifting his hand Yuki searches for the pouch though he could find no such pouch on his person which is rather unfortunate and angering to the half-breed. With a soft growl Yuki begins to move towards the table where he had seen the claw having decided to move in closer to see if they were his or if they belonged to someone else. Drawing closer to the table Yuki spots the pouch that had once rested on his person but now seemed to rest on the table along with the rest of his valuables. Another growl escapes the half-breed as he shifts his gaze to the young girl before glancing to the other female at the table. This is rather unfortunate since now he had to do something to get his belongings back. Coming up to the table, Yuki begins to take a seat, inviting himself to the table, " Hello there little one. " Yuki says as he turns his gaze to the little girl that seemed a bit familiar to him.

Unexpected Reunion

The heavy sounds of the man walking over to the table obtain my attention, his growling mostly gave away his moments. His scent passes by me when he takes a seat. My eye opens slightly for just a moment as I look at Yuki's new hair cut. He didn't look as girl with short hair as he did with long hair. My body remains unmoved by him inviting himself to sit down and by the way he was acting he hasn't notice of who he has sit down with.

The young girl blinks at the sight of him taking a seat and greeting her. She gives him a big smile, "Sorry Mr. Pervert. I'm not for sell and you are too for me old for me and Mommy told me I should only give my flower to someone that will can beat me in a fight and give me strong children. Besides that Mommy told me to never talk to strange old men because they are all perverts that just want me for my cute little body and someday I'll have big boobies just like Mommy! Isn't that right Mommy?" She says this in a happy upbeat tone finishing it off with a wink. Not being able to keep a straight face I turn in the other way as I snicker in to the coaler of my coat. I found it hard to find the words to answer her question so I just give a slight nod to confirm her statement to be true.

Unexpected Reunion

With his gaze still set upon the little girl, Yuki listens as she begins to speak to him. The little girls assumption of him angered him though at the same time he was also a bit amused by what she is saying. Though what the girl was saying angered him, Yuki remained calm and silent as he listens to her speak. Yuki's silence remains only a few brief moments once the girl finishes speaking until finally he begins to speak, " Is that so? " Yuki asks as he glances to Eri for a brief moment before shifting his attention back to the little girl, " I have no intention on buying you, you are far to small for my taste. I am here for another reason.. " Yuki says as he shifts his gaze from the little girl and to the items on the table that belong to him. As he turns his gaze to the items on the table, Yuki shifts his arm and reaches back into his coat, gripping the handle of the kukir before he pulls it from its sheath and brings it out from his coat and sets it on the table, still gripping the handle, " You see all these items you have here little one, they all belong to me. " He says as he shifts his gaze back to the little girl, " I acquired them from the dragon I killed, but that is irrelevant. What matters is the fact that you have them when I remember them being with me, which tells me you stole them from me.. I'll give you one chance to give them back to me before I have to punish you. " Yuki says before shifting his gaze to Eri. Setting his gaze upon Eri, Yuki shifts his gaze over her for a brief moment as he begins to think upon how familiar she looks to him, " .... And as for you. " Yuki murmurs lightly as he releases his grasp on the kukri and reaches out with his hand towards Eri and if she doesn't pull away or stop his hand he reaches out and slips his fingers into her pink hair.

Unexpected Reunion

The little girls eyes blink a few times as a question mark pops up over her hand after hearing the perverts claims that the items was his. In her mind she followed the rule: If I can steal it, it's mine. So there for the items was no long the perverted old man's but hers. She listen to the perverted old man's story about him killing a dragon, which makes more question marks pop up over her head as the word dragon can be translate into a number of things and she doesn't relate the word to a giant lizard that breaths fire or anything like that but of a humanoid spirit such as an angel or demon. So this makes her wonder what I dragon would be doing with giant lizard claws. Seeing the big blade being set on the table she looks at it for a moment or at less till his hand lets go of it...

My form doesn't move as Yuki starts to reach out to touch my hair. Rather than moving the hand is stopped by some type of unseen force the ripples like water when he touches it. His moment would also be interrupted the sound of the little girls cheerful voice.

"You got a deal Mr. Pervert! Wow this blade is really heavy! You must be really strong to care this around like that. It is a little big for me but there was no way I would pass up such a good deal like that. You must really like lizard's claws to trade a blade like this for them."

The little girl would be holding on to the kukir with both hands as she tries to test out the weapon for herself and over half of the tavern looks over at the scene. The waitress blinks at the sight of the girl swing the big weapon around as she sets down the bottle of wine. "Hmm do you need anything Sir?"

Unexpected Reunion

Before he can touch the pink hair something unseen stops his hand and ripples like water as he makes contact with it. A soft frown begins to take form on his visage as he looks at Eri, though before he could do anything else he hears the little girl begin to speak again, drawing his attention away from Eri and back to the girl as he shakes his head faintly. " I di- " Yuki would start to speak but he would fall silent for a moment as he looks at the girl holding his kukri. Before he can take the weapon from the little girl he hears the waitress and shifts his gaze to her for a brief moment, " The house special. " He answers before turning his attention back to the little girl and watches as she swings his kukri around. Her actions cause him to face palm for a brief moment before he reaches out and attempts to grab the kukri and take it from the girl's grasp, " This isn't a child's toy now don't you have dolls or something like that to play with. " Yuki would comment as he attempts to take his kukri from the little girl before she injured herself or someone with the weapon.
