Things had been very stressful as of recently, only due to the encounter with that Onikonjou Lezciel. Castiel appeared more protective, even to the point where he would trigger his SEED Mode at the sight of any danger that could possibly involve Athena. When it was just himself, he just kept to his normal state, not really doing anything that would indicate preparation for battle. The Morning drew near as both Castiel and Athena woke up next to each other to the light of the sun. They weren't back to back but they were somewhat close which would give others the idea that they had slept together. This thought came to Athena when she woke up, which caused her to freak out a little bit which caused Castiel to freak out a little." Hey! what do you think you're doing!? " Athena yelled at Castiel, which caused him to merely rub his head after gaining his composure." I was sleeping and waking up thank you very much". Some time would pass after that little occurance before they both took their clean baths in the water near them, and eventually drying themselves off and dressing with the clothes that they hung out to dry last night. With being dressed, Athena stretched and took a big wiff of the morning air." This is going to be a wonderful day! so what do you want to do today ? " Athena didnt want to go out looking for land to claim, not at least now. Today was a day for chillin, exploring nearby places possibly. Castiel looked to Athena and read the rest off her facial expression, which caused him to smirk." Well, I figured that we could visit that place we passed on our way here, the one the traveler called Mare Maris...and hell we can even go shopping for things ". When Castiel said that, Athena leaped at Castiel and hung a bit from his neck." Yes! let's go! ". She released him and then began marching in the direction of Mare Maris. Castiel released a smirk before he turned around and began following her as well. Both of his hands went into his pockets as he followed her as if she was the one actually leading. There wasn't a big distance between the two, and Athena believed that she knew the way to go because she couldn't forget the sight of it. The duo had quite a few miles to travel before they could arrive, but he figured the travel must be worth it since it made Athena so happy about it." I wonder what this place is like ". He said to Athena they traveled the lands. Castiel watched over Athena like a Hawk, not taking his eye off her and trying to be aware of the area. Something nearby caught his attention, as if it was hidden keeping watch, which caused his guard to shoot up immediately. These were just abilities that naturally kicked in when he really thought something was up, pure defensive abilities.

Castiel saw then that there was nothing hiding, and that he was getting himself mentally ready for nothing. He released a sigh, still somewhat on guard though not 100% as he normally would be. Athena noticed the slight change in Castiel compared to how he was moments ago." Castiel are you alright ? " Athena asked with a curious tone, her head slightly turned back to him while she continued walking. Castiel nodded his head and waved his hand." Yea Im fine, just thought I heard something ". He replied with a smile on his face as the duo continued walking, making their way through the lands with their destination being Mare Maris. Athena nodded quickly and then turned around quite excited to be heading there. She personally have never heard of it before, but it was quite big when they first saw it, which was something that made Athena's jaw drop. She found this as a nice treat for her for having to put up with some of the crap as of recently, but then apart of her felt like she should have known what she was in for when she signed on to travel with him. Still Athena enjoyed it in some odd sick manner, maybe because she was able to experience new things with someone she cared about dearly. That thought was in a sense a little depressing, because despite her having strong feelings like this, Castiel didn't share those same feelings in that nature. He would risk his life for her, but would not fall in love with her. It was quite okay though because this what they have was the next best thing.

They continued walking wihtout a halt in their movements, neither from external sources nor exhaust. The two seemed to be carrying a a decent conversation along the way, keeping each other company while they walked. In the midst of the conversation, Athena paused in her words, trying to remember where was Mare Maris. They havent been back this way for awhile, and she was confident before that she knew the location of it. It also slipped Castiel's mind too, but he wasn't exactly the one who was leading the two as he normally did." Wait... you don't remember where Mare Maris is ? " Castiel asked in a plain tone, almost borderline awkward. Athena began whining a little bit before shaking her head." I swore I knew where it was! This is not good! not good at all ". Athena brought her hands up to her head as she began ruffling it a little and messing it up out of panicking. Castiel stopped her and sighed slightly." Don't worry about it. We'll just find someone around who knows the area and ask them for direction. I doubt that we'll be lost for much longer Athena ". His words calmed her down a bit to the point where she took a deep breath and closed her eyes." Alright ". Athena stopped leading when they started walking again, slowing down so Castiel could take lead.

Castiel was now the one leading the party as it should have been from the beginning. Their goal now was to find someone who possibly knew the location of Mare Maris. They would have to hope that their encounter with someone would be a good chance, or that they would stumble upon some little town or village. Castiel wasn't too worried about it, knowing that even if they didn't find someone to assist them, awhile of looking and they would eventually find it. Athena on the other hand didn't possess that same thinking, not wanting to really believe that they were lost. She was holding onto Castiel's optimism, though the idea of being lost just kept nipping at her really hard. Castiel turned to Athena and laughed slightly at the expression she possessed at the moment. He could read it all over her face that she was worried, so he simply gave her a thumbs up as a form of reassurance that everything was okay. Athena nodded again and a more relieved feeling over came the young woman. Whether they knew it or not, they were heading in the right direction, though they were still quite far from Mare Maris itself. Castiel then began whistling, which appeared to be something familiar that Athena heard before... more like a song that she heard before when she was a little girl.

Athena looked at Castiel for awhile during the period that he was whistling that song. She felt a feeling of comfort overwhelm her in a quickness, causing her to smile even though they appeared to be lost. Castiel's eyes widened only slightly due to the sight of a figure ahead who appeared to be a traveler." Hey! " Castiel called out to her as he increased in his walking speed in the direction of the individual. There was much to ask, but right now they just needed directions to Mare Maris. The individual would pause for them when she noticed that they were calling to her. When they drew closer, the features of this person just jumped out at them. This lonely lady had almond-shaped brown eyes. Her thick, wavy, ash-gray hair is worn in a style that reminded them of a puffy dandelion. She was very tall and has a slender build. Her skin is pale. She has prominent ears and a average sized mouth. Her wardrobe was strange as well, with a lot of white and purple. Castiel paused a moment from the features, then went on to asking the question." Excuse me Ma'am. We appear to be lost...we're looking for Mare Maris ". The Lady looked back in the direction she was heading from and pointed." You're on the right path. Mare Maris is only a few miles from here...Just keep going until you eventually see a large wall". With that, Castiel nodded, as well as Athena who was happy that she had them going in the right direction from the beginning." Alright! Thank you so much for your time ". Athena said before she started leading once again, which caused Castiel to rub the back of his head.

Again the two was back on the road to Mare Maris. Both of their minds set on that one specific feature mentioned by the lady. The wall. Once they were able to see the wall, the duo would know for sure that they had found the place. During the time there, there wasnt much going on between Castiel and Athena except the thing that Castiel was whispering the same song from before. Athena couldn't help but remember that she heard that same song before when she was a little girl. She finally decided to gather the strength to finally ask him about the song, and the origins of it. Castiel paused in his footsteps inorder to face her as he then thought for a second. Given Castiel's Past, it was hard for him to give an answer due to the fact that his memormy had been altered not only once but twice, so it was just a mess. As for the song's Origin, Castiel couldn't come up with any. He just knew the song for some odd reason, as if it was one of those things that maintained with him even throughout the memory alteration events.

The song just seems like something I know for some reason. I can't explain it. It goes further back than when I met Vera...after I had awaken from that sleep. I don't know before that. When I whistle that song, I envision someone very special to me actually singing it and basically promising me that nothing bad is going to happen. It's not a mother figure even though that is what it would sound like. It's someone similar to a mother figure... almost like an older sister or something. Then again when I think about it, it's ridiculous because I don't have any family ". Castiel explained closing his eyes as he began walking again. Athena wasn't sure if she wanted to say anything, but then it process through her mind that she was talking to Castiel so it was okay." Well... when I was a young girl, I was the scared of everything type of young girl. Its because of this that the lady who adopted me decided to teach me a song that kept me calm and fearless. After she taught me the song, I felt stronger and never alone ". Athena explained before gaining a slight blush. What this meant was that the Lady had either a direct connection to Castiel or that she also learned it from someone who had a direct connection to Castiel. Whatever it was, it would have to wait as the two appeared to have closed in on Mare Maris.

Silence had once again bestowed itself onto the party, a couple of things going through both of their heads, though completely different than before. Athena was thinking about the song, which eventually lead her to think about Vera Spes. Images of her smile started to plague her mind despite the fact that the two ended off on bad terms with each other near the end. She Didn't know why she began thinking about Vera, but it was there which caused her to take on a sincere expression." Hey Castiel... don't you think that Vera would have loved coming here ? ". Athena asked in what appeared to be a soft tone. Castiel's eye's widened quickly, but then lowered immediately as if he had failed at something. The image transfered into his mind as he still lived with the guilt over what had happened." She would have been racing around these lands like a little child, enjoying something that was far different than heavy forests and the other stuff that came with it ". He was kind of pissed on the inside that Athena decided to bring up the subject of Athena knowing the events that occured. Tears slowly began to appear in Athena's eyes, though she performed one swipe with her arm across her face inorder to prevent her from outright crying. Her and Vera had their falling outs quite often, but Athena missed Vera very much that it plagued her." It's just not fair you know ? Vera was a spicy one but she was a kind and loving individual that didn't deserve anything that happened to her ". Hearing those words, Castiel would merely nodd his head in agreement with her." Yea. She really didn't ". It was hard for him to outright discuss it because of the idea that He failed to protect her from a demon that originally wasn't after her, but instead was after him. It just wasn't fair and Castiel couldn't allow it to build up within him much longer or else it would have started effecting him in a very negative way, so while they were on the subject he would give more than simply a nodd in agreement and actually display how her really felt on the whole entire incident at hand, even if there was a good possibility that it would make him tear up.

Athena drew closer to Castiel, knowing that it was a very sensitive subject to him, and even now Castiel's expression began to change a bit. She was sadden by this, and was't a big fan of the fact that she herself had seemed to dampened the mood, but it just couldn't be helped. She was sad by the entire subject, but knew that Castiel carried more than just sadness with him that he had been holding onto for a long time... Disappointment in himself, Anger at the Onikonjou that did it, all emotions that he had been holding in until now. She was shocked when she actually started to see tears build up in Castiel's eyes, and wanted to tell him that it was okay to cry without making it obvious that he wanted to cry. It probably would have been the most healthiest thing for him at the time, but he tried to maintain strong in the presence of Athena for more than a couple of reasons. Athena reached her hand out to gently grasp his a little and then nodded slightly, developing tears of her own so just by chance if Castiel were to start, he wouldn't be the only one in the equation that was shedding tears.

His eyes became devoid of shine as he pushed towards her, but immediately after her fall,m a dark cloud began to surround her body immediately, which then shot out with tremendous force, pushing back the Tank some distance away from her." Argh! " Castiel flipped back in the air, but was positioned where he could catch himself by pushing his hand out into the ground and slowing himself down until he brought the rest of his body to make contact with the ground. His teeth gritted, not knowing what the source of all this was." It's time we meet again face to face Castiel. I introduced myself as Grim Devil before, but my real name is Siluros, Siluros of Despair". When he introduced himself the cloud around Vera collected together and solidy into one being. This individual looked like some kind of religious follower, but possessed an empty eye socket." This isn't my true form, but should suffice for now ". He said as he gave a slight bow as a show of respect to Castiel. He was over Vera's body with his arms spreading out and the grin on his face getting bigger.

Castiel took notice of this demons grin and couldn't help but feel anger build up in him immediately. It would appear that he was gaining momentum inorder to perform Sentinel's Explosion.

There was more to that, but it would have to wait for another time as the two Finally arrived to Mare Maris.
