The idea that he would be traveling with this girl so much wasn’t completely bad, though they did seem to have their falling out moments. Castiel actually enjoyed the presence of Vera despite those moments. Vera felt the same way about Castiel if not more though she kept it controlled to a level where it appeared that she was merely ‘Okay’ with it. The two had a list in their hand that was from one of the villages, which was a request from an individual to bring back some lumber. Doing such requests brought little pieces of his memory back, remembering that he was a mercenary doing major and dangerous things for pay, though this would have to settle for now until he could regain greater portions of his memory. The person whom he was doing the request for had let him borrow the axe needed to get the stuff. He didn’t expect to get major jobs in little places like this so he didn’t show any resistance to the idea. The two would chop up a few trees, and after a few hours had passed, they both made their way back to the village. They weren’t ready to leave yet without some form of valuable things in their pockets.

This job was compleated without much of a hussle, and as soon as The mother returned the next day, Castiel would give her a report on her kids and how they behaved. The two individuals seemed quite energetic, though that was somewhat expected for kids of their age, still it was quite dangerous when applying it with the fact that they were Pyromaniacs. He was doing what most baby sitters had to do at the end of the job before even recieving payment. He released a sigh before he began the report." Both of them are safe as you can tell, though I have to say I dont know how you really manage this. They are good kids but the energy they make you exhaust is worst than fighting some kind of beast ". Right there he was comparing the nature of the kids to the very beast he fought weeks ago in the cave. The mother simply giggled a little before nodding as she agreed with him." But Im a Mother, when having kids you have to know that there is a possibility that you would get super energetic tykes, still I wouldn't have them any other way ". After explaining that, She would Pay Castiel and send him on his merry way, onto his next Job. This time it was something a little more simple, his job now being to guard the Medic ward from someone trying to steal the new treatment that they developed for an ailment, almost like a cure to a curse.

Time passed as he guarded the herbs used in a very special treatment that Castiel himself would come to want later on down the road. Now it was really seen as an significant plant that really had no use to him or anyone he knew at the moment. Still he had to perform the job, and so he did it successfully just like all of his other jobs. He saw it as pushing to earn a living, and it was neccessary for him and Vera so messing up on the job wasn't an option. After completing the job, The Person in charge of the Medic ward approached him with a sincere expression on her face as she gave him his payment. Along with that she wrote her phone number on his hand which indicated that she was interested in him. He didnt know her personally so he could assume that the only thing that brought about this sudden attraction was his looks and build, something he couldn't entertain the idea of. Upon walking out to handle his next Job, Castiel wiped the number off before it had a chance to dry on his skin. He had gone so long without rest, but he managed to push himself. Random individuals that knew of him there would inform Vera so she didnt worry. Castiel made his way over to the next person who seeked his assistance, which was someone who wanted to help extracting materials, which of what would become weapons. He didnt know this, so He went with this individual to extract ores, all of which came from the cave near the village.

While extracting the ores, Castiel began thinking about the future for himself. This would cause his guard to drop slightly and enable something to happen. There were bandits hidden in the area that planned on striking the village but they knew that Castiel was there, so they waited to get him alone and away from the village. This was the perfect time to strike as they revealed themselves from their hiding spot and within the blindspot of Castiel. One of the individuals extracting the ores saw this and screamed out, alerting Castiel that someone was behind them. He ducked and turned around with a sweeping kick, causing the bandit to loose balance and fall back." Shit! ". A confrontation was now in the making as Castiel rose up and faced them." I can't believe that I didnt notice anyone else in here..I guess Im slipping a little ". He muttered as he began to fight off the bandits. The people watched him fight and it was quite impressive, dodging most of the strikes, and guarding against the ones he couldnt while getting attacks in. While they were fighting, another bandit that had remained hidden moved towards the ores that the people had extracted and acquired them. Everyones attention was on the fight so there wasnt anyone to notice him taking them. once he did, he escaped, notifying the others to leave. They didnt do what they wanted to, but getting away with good material was the next best thing." They got the ores! Dont let them get away ". Castiel towards the individual that issued out the order and shrugged." My job was to guard You! while you extracted them. Not a scratch on you so I completed my job. Retrieval would cost extra ".
